Abstract: Irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) is a highly prevalent disorder of the gut–brain axis,
characterized by recurrent gastrointestinal symptoms and a substantial impact on quality of life,
social and occupational functioning, and mental health among affected individuals. The
biopsychosocial model of IBS highlights the complex interaction between biological,
psychological, and social factors, requiring integrated therapeutic approaches. Among
available treatments, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) is widely recognized as an effective
intervention with strong empirical support, capable of reducing gastrointestinal symptoms and
promoting better psychological adjustment. However, limited access to specialized treatments
underscores the need to develop more accessible alternatives, such as self-guided interventions.
The implementation and evaluation of this treatment format, particularly when structured to
address IBS-specific features such as gastrointestinal symptom-specific anxiety (GSA),
represent promising strategies to reduce the negative impact of this disorder on patients’ lives
and to expand access to evidence-based psychological interventions. Accordingly, this doctoral
thesis aimed to: 1) identify, in the scientific literature, evidence on the effectiveness of selfguided or minimal-contact treatments for IBS; 2) investigate which psychological variables
have been identified in the literature as mediators of the effect of CBT on the improvement of
gastrointestinal symptoms in adults diagnosed with IBS; 3) adapt the Visceral Sensitivity Index
for Brazilian Portuguese and gather validity evidence for this instrument assessing GSA; 4)
develop and evaluate two booklets addressing GSA for patients with IBS, one focused on
cognitive and emotional strategies and the other on exposure-based strategies; and 5) adapt and
evaluate, in an international context, an English-language version of the booklet focused on
cognitive and emotional strategies. Taken together, the findings of this dissertation offer
theoretical, methodological, and clinical contributions. From a theoretical perspective, they
strengthen our understanding of AGE as a central construct in SII and as a mechanism of
change in CBT-based interventions. From a methodological perspective, the adaptation and
validation of the VSI for Brazilian Portuguese expands the possibilities for the systematic
assessment of AGE in the national context. At the applied level, the development and
evaluation of evidence-based booklets contribute to expanding the repertoire of low-intensity
psychotherapeutic interventions, with the potential for both national and international reach.

Abstract: Cartoons have a strong influence on the formation of subjectivities, especially because they are
associated with the early stages of child development. They act as cultural pedagogies,
conveying representations that suggest behaviors, affections, and social identities. This
research, anchored in Cultural Studies and post-structuralist theory, aims to analyze how gender
and sexuality counter-conducts are produced by the animated series “Ridley Jones: The
Museum Guardian,” from Netflix. The methodology consisted of analyzing episodes from the
series' five seasons, organized into three main themes: gender and sexuality subjectivities,
interpersonal relationships, and the power of cooperation and affective performances. Based on
discursive analysis, we observe how the series challenges gender and sexuality norms by
presenting diverse characters and plural affective experiences. The results indicate that the
animation proposes alternative forms of existence and coexistence, based on care, listening, and
collectivity. The main character and her companions experience adventures that challenge the
logic of individualism and value practices that protect memory, history, and affective bonds.
The series suggests counter-conduct by building resistance to social norms and neoliberal
rationality. Despite its innovative proposal, the series was canceled after criticism from
conservative sectors that accused it of promoting “gender ideology.” This fact highlights the
urgency of studies that discuss the ways in which children's media educate, question, and resist
standardization. The series invites us to imagine other childhoods, where affection, diversity,
and collaboration are central elements. More than just preserving artifacts, we need to protect
what pulsates within us: our stories, our affections, and our plural ways of existing.

Título: Quiet quitting: mudanças no contexto laboral
Autor(es): Quintela, Luiz Henrique Pimenta
Abstract: The phenomenon known as Quiet Quitting, widely disseminated since 2020, has been
interpreted as an expression of contemporary transformations in labor relations. However,
doubt remains about its true novelty: is it an emerging behavior or merely a conceptual
redefinition of practices historically present in the workplace context? Thus, this study aims
to dispel the conceptual confusion surrounding the topic, investigating whether it is a novel
behavior in the world of work or a new name for already existing practices. Through a
theoretical-bibliographical research, more precisely a scoping review following the
PRISMA-ScR protocol, the main concepts, authors, and gaps in research on the topic were
mapped, in addition to identifying psychological factors involved with the phenomenon such
as (dis)engagement, work-life balance, and generational factors, which subsequently served
as descriptors. The findings indicate that QQ is not an entirely new phenomenon, but
represents a contemporary reconfiguration of historical practices of labor resistance,
intensified by the post-pandemic context and the emergence of new generational values
regarding the role of work in life. In this sense, in addition to contributing to the academic
understanding of the topic, this research engages with global initiatives, such as the UN's
2030 Agenda, by emphasizing the importance of promoting fair and sustainable working
conditions, assisting companies and workers in formulating strategies for a healthier and
more productive work environment.

Abstract: This study investigates the relationship between the construction and perpetuation of social
imaginaries, memory, and identity in women’s football across two stages of analysis. First, it
examines the narratives produced by newspapers from the state of Sergipe, understood as
forms of communication; subsequently, it analyzes the processes of memory selection and
re-elaboration carried out by the Football Museum, considering it as a space of social
mediation and reconfiguration. These two objects were selected due to their communicational
potential, understood as their capacity to construct and rewrite narratives surrounding sport.
The aim is to explore the dialogues and intersections between the history of women’s football
at local and national levels. To this end, the study analyzes the newspapers Gazeta de Sergipe,
Jornal da Cidade, and Jornal de Sergipe between 1983 and 2000—a period spanning from
the regulation of women’s football in Brazil to the historic participation of Brazilian women
footballers in the Sydney Olympic Games. This analysis seeks to both quantify and qualify
representations of women’s football, identifying social patterns and the construction of
popular imaginaries regarding the relationship between gender and football. In this sense, the
intersection between newspapers and the Football Museum reveals how the challenges and
achievements of women in football are constructed and perpetuated within social memory.
Finally, the analysis demonstrates that journalistic narratives and the exhibition strategies
adopted by the Football Museum not only reflect the trajectory of women’s football but also
expose the dynamics of women’s inclusion and exclusion within sporting social spaces,
enabling a critical perspective on the intersectionalities that shape this history. The research
shows that journalistic narratives recurrently engage in processes of sexualization and
objectification of women, reinforcing patriarchal, racist, and lesbophobic ideals that
contribute to women’s exclusion from football. At the same time, the Football
Museum—understood as a vector of representation in the twenty-first century—appropriates
these historical narratives, resignifying them within both physical and virtual exhibition
contexts.
