Autor(es): Alves, Samara dos Santos
Abstract: The internationalization of education has consolidated itself as a strategic axis in contemporary educational policy, expanding significantly beyond post-secondary education toward public basic education. Given this scenario, this study analyzes the formulation and implementation of the Internationalization Program for the State Public School System of Sergipe. To this end, this research seeks to address the following research problem: what is the internationalization strategy for basic education in the state of Sergipe, considering its objectives, established international partnerships, and the impacts generated both within and beyond the educational field? To answer this question, the general objective was defined as analyzing the basic education internationalization program in Sergipe, examining its strategic goals, cooperation arrangements, and repercussions on the state's external projection. For this investigation, the chosen methodology is classified as qualitative and exploratory, structured through the analysis of primary source documents such as state laws, reports, program selection notices, public tenders, and state media coverage alongside interviews conducted with actors involved in the program's management. The findings reveal an eight-year hiatus between the formulation of the original proposal (2016) and the effective execution of the 'Sergipe no Mundo' program (2024), highlighting the challenges of administrative discontinuity that exist between management policy and state policy. Furthermore, it is observed that the program aligns with the state government's strategic objectives of international projection and investment attraction. Finally, it is concluded that while physical exchange promotes significant individual gains, the consolidation of the program as an internationalization policy requires the strengthening of Internationalization at Home strategies.</summary>

Abstract: This research analyzes the deterioration of the Democratic Rule of Law in Nicaragua and its consequent humanitarian crisis under Daniel Ortega's government, investigating the transition from a hybrid regime to a consolidated authoritarian government following the violent repression of the 2018 protests. Through a qualitative and descriptive approach, it examines how constitutional reforms and the centralization of the Three Branches of Government under the Executive instrumentalized the state apparatus to neutralize internal opposition and enabled Ortega to remain in power. The research further discusses the international dimension of the crisis, with emphasis on diplomatic isolation from the West, economic sanctions, and the strengthening of strategic alliances with Russia and China. Finally, it addresses the humanitarian crisis through the lens of International Refugee Law, analyzing the forced displacement of more than 1.5 million Nicaraguans and the use of statelessness as a tool of political persecution.</summary>

Autor(es): Lopes, Mayra Nathália Pinheiro
Abstract: China's growing economic influence has been accompanied by strategies aimed at the internationalization of the yuan, seeking to strengthen monetary sovereignty and political autonomy through the reduction of its dependence on the U.S. dollar. In this context, this study aims to analyze the role of the digital yuan (e-CNY) and Hong Kong in China's monetary internationalization process, identifying their potential and limitations within geoeconomic dynamics. To achieve this objective, a qualitative single-case study was conducted, based on bibliographic and documentary research, as well as the analysis of primary sources. The findings indicate that the digital yuan represents a technological innovation with the potential to optimize cross-border transactions and mitigate vulnerabilities arising from the hegemony of the U.S. dollar and the dependence on Western payment networks, serving as a complementary instrument to China's internationalization strategy. At the same time, Hong Kong has functioned as a "financial laboratory" and a strategic bridge between China and global markets, fostering the international projection of the yuan, particularly through its participation in initiatives such as mBridge and the Belt and Road Initiative. Nevertheless, the limited openness of China's financial market, the need for greater compliance with international standards, and external geopolitical pressures continue to constrain the establishment of the yuan as a global currency. It is concluded that the internationalization of China's currency constitutes a gradual process, shaped by both domestic factors and the configuration of the International System.</summary>
