Abstract: Behavioral problems in childhood and adolescence are common complaints of parents&#xD;
seeking care for their children in school clinics. The aim of this study was to analyze the&#xD;
complaints brought by parents and report perceived changes in their behaviors and their&#xD;
children. Five mothers and one father took part of this study. The data were collected through&#xD;
interviews. The results showed that parents have identified few positive children’s behaviors&#xD;
and had doubts about the educational practices. Parents relied on family support. In relation to&#xD;
the school they reported little information. About the group they expect to change their own&#xD;
behavior. In the end, parents assessed that their actions or perceptions concerning children&#xD;
had improved and only one reported no improvement.</summary>

    <summary type="text">Título: Orientação a pais: o que poderia mudar na educação dos filhos

Abstract: This paper aims to describe a parent orientation group whose children who were inscribed for psychotherapy at a school&#xD;
clinic. Five mothers participated with a mean age of 40 years and education ranging from elementary school to high&#xD;
school. The age of the children ranged from 5 to 13 years. The operational structure of the group has developed through&#xD;
12 meetings lasting one hour each. Mothers were interviewed individually before and after the group meetings. The CBCL&#xD;
was also applied. At the end of the meetings, the mothers reported an improvement in the behavior of the children and&#xD;
also changes in their own behaviors relating to pay more attention, patience and dialogue with their children.</summary>
