“Vamos amigo lute” : a arte de Edson Gomes como expressão de resistência cultural e social entre fãs aracajuanos

Título: “Vamos amigo lute” : a arte de Edson Gomes como expressão de resistência cultural e social entre fãs aracajuanos
Autor(es): Melo, Paulo Henrique Rodrigues de
Abstract: This study, titled “Reggae and Resistance,” examines how Edson Gomes’s songs foster processes of identification in the everyday lives of his fans, seeking to understand the symbolic connection between the songs and the audience’s social reality through ethnographic research conducted during his performance at the Pôr do Jau event in Aracaju. Based on the context of reggae and its role as an instrument of cultural resistance, the study highlights a gap in academic research on the topic. The general objective is to analyze how Edson Gomes’s work constructs shared meanings that reinforce Black identity and cultural and social practices of resistance. The specific objectives include analyzing the artist’s biography, examining the content of his compositions, and observing audience behavior during the live concert. The research adopts a qualitative approach and employs an ethnographic method applied to marketing contexts, incorporating participant observation, photographic and audiovisual records, as well as interviews for data collection. The analysis was conducted from an ethnographic perspective, aiming to broaden the understanding of reggae as an instrument of community empowerment and cultural affirmation. The results indicate that Edson Gomes’s songs promote patterns of meaning, networks of belonging, and practices of resistance, highlighting the symbolic interaction between the work and the audience and contributing to the academic debate on culture, communication, and the construction of Black identity and class consciousness.

Abstract: The video game industry has consolidated itself as the leading force in global entertainment, transcending leisure to become a vital space for socialization and identity formation. Concurrently, a scenario emerges where Generation Z demonstrates a growing skepticism toward traditional advertising, seeking refuge in narratives that resonate with ethical values and authentic purposes. Stardew Valley, a life and farming simulator, emerges as a cultural phenomenon in this context, proposing a ludic critique of corporate capitalism and a celebration of community life. In this sense, this study aims to investigate the mediations — understood as the process of negotiating meanings between the game mechanics, the community's participatory culture, and the player's individual values — in the promotion of sustainable practices and social awareness. It analyzes how farming mechanics and the game’s narrative act as 'social learning' tools, fostering debates on conscious consumption and ecology. Furthermore, the study aims to understand how engagement in the virtual universe spills over into reality, transforming environmental perceptions and offering strategic perspectives for the communication of brands seeking relevance with an audience that values consistency between discourse and practice.

Infância, subjetividade e memória no cinema contemporâneo : a construção estética do olhar infantil em Aftersun (2022)

Título: Infância, subjetividade e memória no cinema contemporâneo : a construção estética do olhar infantil em Aftersun (2022)
Autor(es): Santos, Layza Rebeca Nogueira
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the aesthetic construction of the child’s gaze in Aftersun (2022), directed by Charlotte Wells. Employing film analysis as its methodological framework, the research examines how elements of cinematic language contribute to a narrative structured around a perspective formed in childhood, one marked by subjectivities and absences that become perceptible only through the process of recollection in adulthood. The study proceeds from the premise that the child’s gaze is not merely a thematic concern within the film, but rather a narrative device that shapes the spectator’s experience of viewing. In order to delimit the methodological parameters, the child’s gaze is understood as one characterized by curiosity and sensitivity, even in the face of limitations, and directly influenced by generational social dynamics, as defined by Sarmento (2009). The application of film analysis based on the division of levels, namely shot, sequence, and film, as proposed by Jullier and Marie (2009), demonstrates that the presence of the child’s gaze is constructed through deliberately arranged formal elements, such as close-up framing, the use of textured camera imagery, and shots positioned at the child’s eye level. In this way, the study contributes to scholarship on cinematic language and representations of childhood, while also engaging with contemporary themes addressed in the film.

Título: Podcast audioblog : a cultura pop como linguagem geracional
Autor(es): Rodrigues, Lara Dourado Carneiro; Oliveira, Leilanne Simas Estrêla de; Azevedo, Maria Clara Vasconcelos
Abstract: This work aims to present the planning and development of a chat-style, experimental podcast aimed at Generation Z, focusing on pop culture as a generational language. Podcasts stand out as a promising format, especially in Brazil, allowing for a more personalized and direct connection with the audience, facilitating identification and easy consumption. The product has a communicational character, and to achieve the objectives, exploratory bibliographic research was conducted for the theoretical basis of the product, encompassing the evolution from radio to podcast, studies on consumption, social networks, and pop culture, and quantitative data collection for defining the target audience. Furthermore, the work adopts a practical methodology for the development of the final product, including brainstorming, planning, recording, and post-production. These approaches strengthened the identity and foundation of the podcast and promoted a relevant, cohesive, and relaxed content model, aligned with hypermodern consumption dynamics.
