O inglês no chão do Quilombo: práticas decolonias de educação linguística em Pau d'Arco

Título: O inglês no chão do Quilombo: práticas decolonias de educação linguística em Pau d'Arco
Autor(es): Souza, José Raimundo Pereira de
Abstract: Systemic inequality in English language education is a persistent challenge in many
educational contexts and becomes even more pronounced in rural and culturally diverse
communities, such as quilombolas. Thus, this research aims to investigate how (de)colonial
practices can make English language education more inclusive and culturally sensitive,
promoting the linguistic empowerment of young people in the quilombola community of Vila
Pau d’Arco, in them Agreste region of Alagoas. To this end, scholars such as Walter Mignolo
(2017), Maldonado-Torres (2005), and Quijano (2005) will be consulted, who have developed
a perspective on Eurocentric knowledge production and its socioeconomic, symbolic, and
subjective consequences, as well as Gomes (2018), Carneiro (2023), and Passos and Pinheiro
(2021) to address the decolonization of the curriculum and Brazilian epistemicide.
Furthermore, studies on language education from the critical, transgressive, and nondisciplinary perspective of contemporary Applied Linguistics (Moita Lopes, 2006) will also be
fundamental. This approach engages in social research practices that focus on situations of
exclusion and social marginalization (Fabrício, 2006) in order to contribute to improvements
in the quality of life of AL research participants (Rojo, 2006). From a methodological
perspective, this project will follow the interpretivist paradigm (Moita Lopes, 1994) of
qualitative research (Bortoni-Ricardo, 2008), based on action research (Tripp, 2005). Thus, a
program of language education practices in English will be developed and delivered in
partnership with the Associação dos Quilombolas da Vila Pau d'Arco, based on a decolonial
and quilombola education perspective. Based on field diaries, pedagogical records, and other
interaction data generated in teaching situations, contingent interpretations will be produced
regarding the objectives pursued in this research. Given the effects of structural racism in our
country, it is necessary to relate this critical decolonization movement to the pedagogical
practices of/in quilombola communities, as well as to analyze the critical potential of these
practices.

A responsabilidade civil do doador nas inseminações caseiras

Título: A responsabilidade civil do doador nas inseminações caseiras
Autor(es): Terto, Luana Machado
Abstract: This study examines the legal status of filiation in home artificial insemination. In this context,
the transformation of the concept of family in Brazilian legislation reflects significant changes
in the social, cultural, and legal spheres, especially with regard to filiation and the different
forms of family formation. The 1988 Federal Constitution represented a milestone by
recognizing the diversity of family configurations, moving away from models that were
predominantly biological or based on marriage, and establishing principles such as human
dignity, equality among children, and freedom in family planning. As a result, filiation came to
be understood in a broader manner, valuing socio-affective bonds and the reproductive
autonomy of individuals. Alongside these transformations, new reproductive approaches and
methods began to be adopted by society, with home insemination standing out as an informal
and unregulated option in comparison with assisted reproduction techniques offered by
specialized clinics. This practice, often driven by the high costs associated with artificial
insemination and the desire to increase accessibility, raises important legal issues, particularly
with regard to the civil registration of the child, the presumption of parenthood within marriage
or stable unions, and the requirement of consent from the spouse or partner in cases of
heterologous insemination, in light of the provisions issued by the National Council of Justice.
Home insemination also raises questions concerning fundamental rights, including human
dignity, reproductive autonomy, and freedom in family planning, without disregarding the
importance of comprehensive protection for children and adolescents. The absence of specific
regulation generates legal uncertainty for both the parents and the donor, especially with respect
to the determination of parenthood and the potential legal implications arising from this
practice. In this context, the debate over the civil and child support liability of the donor in
home insemination emerges. The lack of regulation allows for differing interpretations
regarding existing rights and obligations, as well as the limits of the autonomy of the parties
involved. Thus, the topic highlights the importance of a critical assessment of the current legal
framework, emphasizing the risks of civil liability for the donor and the urgent need for a clearer
regulatory approach that reflects contemporary social conditions.

Título: Aspectos da ecologia básica do Guigó-da-caatinga (Callicebus Barbarabrownae Hershkovitz, 1990) em fragmentos de Caatinga, Nordeste do Brasil

Abstract: The blond titi monkey (C. barbarabrownae), classified as Critically Endangered (CR) by the
International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), is the only primate endemic to the
Caatinga biome. Despite its high threat status and endemism, there are still significant
knowledge gaps regarding the species. With this in mind, this study was developed to expand
knowledge about its biology and ecology. The first chapter addresses acoustic ecology, with
the main objective of describing the species’ vocalization patterns and their daily, seasonal, and
annual variations, in association with resource availability. Over two years (10 days per month),
we collected acoustic data using autonomous recorders in two forest fragments of different
sizes. We recorded 242 independent vocalization events in 193 samples, 28 in the smaller
fragment (7 ha) and 214 in the larger fragment (70 ha). Of these, 81% were recorded in the
morning period, with the highest frequency at 08:00. The month with the lowest number of
records was October 2021 and the highest was June 2022. Vocalization frequency showed
significant differences between morning and afternoon periods, times of day, months of the
year, fragments, and seasons. No significant relationship was found between vocalization
frequency and the availability of ripe fruits, suggesting that ripe fruits may influence
vocalization frequency. The second chapter investigates the structure and composition of trees
in fragments where the species occurs, with the main objective of characterizing the habitat in
five fragments and examining its relationship with species density in these locations. Data were
collected at five sites in the municipalities of Euclides da Cunha, Jacobina, Jeremoabo, and
Lamarão (Bahia State), and Monte Alegre de Sergipe (Sergipe State). We sampled 200 trees in
five transects per fragment (point-centered quarter method), selecting individuals with diameter
at breast height (DBH) > 10 cm. For each tree, we identified the species and measured DBH,
tree height (TH), distance to the previous tree (DPT), and crown cover (CC). Fabaceae was the
most abundant family in all areas, except in Jacobina, where Myrtaceae predominated. The
areas differed in diversity (H’), ranging from 2.27 to 3.35. Significant differences among areas
were also found for TH, DPT, and CC, but not for DBH. This study represents the first approach
to identifying habitat factors and their relationship with ecological aspects of C.
barbarabrownae, highlighting its response to fruit availability as well as its occurrence in
structurally heterogeneous yet compositionally more homogeneous areas.

Título: Reestruturação organizacional da Coordenadoria de Controle Interno do Tribunal de Contas do Estado de Sergipe: possíveis caminhos para melhora da eficiência administrativa
Autor(es): Campos, Sumaia Silva
Abstract: Context: Internal control is an essential instrument for strengthening public governance,
transparency, and administrative efficiency. Within the scope of Courts of Accounts, its
institutionalization represents a strategic milestone for improving management and
accountability. The Court of Accounts of the State of Sergipe (TCE-SE), although it has an
Internal Control Coordination Unit, still faces structural and regulatory challenges to fully
comply with the guidelines of ATRICON Resolution No. 04/2014 and the Performance
Measurement Framework for Courts of Accounts (MMD-TC). Objective: The study aimed to
propose guidelines to improve the organizational structure of the Internal Control
Coordination Office of the Court of Accounts of the State of Sergipe, in light of ATRICON
guidelines, COSO frameworks, and a comparative analysis with other Courts of Accounts, in
order to enhance the effectiveness of the Internal Control System. Methodology: The research
was characterized as a qualitative case study, of an applied nature, with a propositional
purpose. The evidence used was exclusively secondary, obtained through documentary and
comparative analysis of legislation, resolutions, institutional regulations, and reports from the
Performance Measurement Framework for Courts of Accounts (MMD-TC).The
methodological procedure involved the critical examination and comparison between the
structures and regulations of the TCE-SE and other Courts of Accounts, in order to identify
gaps, convergences, and best practices that would support the proposed organizational
restructuring. Main Results: The research resulted in an organizational restructuring model
for the Internal Control Coordination Unit of the TCE-SE that favors the institutionalization
of the Internal Control System, strengthens organizational governance, and contributes to the
improvement of administrative efficiency. Relevance and Originality: The relevance of the
study lies in the need to modernize and strengthen internal control in Courts of Accounts,
consolidating the TCE-SE as a reference for good institutional practices. The originality lies
in proposing a specific organizational structure applicable to the reality of the Court, with the
potential for replication in other Courts of Accounts. Theoretical, Methodological, and
Management Contributions: Theoretically, the study expands the discussion on
organizational governance and internal control in public administration; methodologically, it
adopts an applied case study, which allows for in-depth and comparative analysis of
organizational models; and, in terms of management, it offers a practical restructuring
proposal capable of improving processes, strengthening accountability, and optimizing
institutional performance. Social contributions: By proposing improvements in the
organizational structure and the institutionalization of internal control, the work aims to
strengthen governance and public transparency, promoting a more efficient, reliable, and
aligned administration with the collective interest.
