Abstract: The Internet has profoundly transformed communication, work, and social
interactions, creating a dynamic virtual environment that democratizes access to information
and facilitates the dissemination of concepts. However, this revolution has also brought
considerable challenges, among which the characteristics of infocracy stand out, which
highlight the difficulty in distinguishing between the abundance of available data and the
quality of information. In this context, social networks emerge as powerful tools, but also
susceptible to the dissemination of misinformation and the increase in social polarization. This
article proposes an analysis of freedom of expression in light of the paradox of tolerance in the
digital age, focusing on the following question: how do the limitations and molding of freedom
of expression on virtual platforms affect tolerance and the diversity of notions? The research
seeks to understand the nuances of public discourse in the digital context, exploring how it is
shaped by online interactions and the power dynamics that permeate this space.

Abstract: The article examines the continuity and evolution of the cultural war in Brazil from
2018 to 2023, focusing on its central role in contemporary politics, especially during and after
Bolsonaro's administration. The cultural war is presented as a mechanism of social polarization,
reinforced by digital communication and the legislative actions of Bolsonaro-aligned
congressmen. The study identifies rhetorical and mobilization strategies that perpetuate social
division and hinder democratic dialogue, turning public debate into an arena of ideological
confrontation. Moreover, the text highlights the role of social media in spreading polarizing
narratives and consolidating conservative identities. Finally, it emphasizes that the cultural war
transcends Bolsonaro's tenure, representing an adaptive and long-term phenomenon with
significant implications for democracy and social cohesion in Brazil.

A doxa conservadora nos comentaristas políticos da Jovem Pan

Título: A doxa conservadora nos comentaristas políticos da Jovem Pan
Autor(es): Mendes, Herbert Farias Barreto
Abstract: This dissertation aims to analyze the media and discursive action of Jovem Pan
programming through its agents debating politics, which is the most striking feature of its
journalistic coverage. Considered as a hybrid media between radio and the internet, Jovem Pan
has become notable and grown as a means of communication in recent years, being one of the
most significant expressions of the radical right inserted in new digital networks. To this end,
this work seeks to establish the journalistic field and the position occupied by Jovem Pan within
it. The methodology used is qualitative in nature, with an emphasis on the analysis of the
speeches given by policy debaters. This study considers that the themes that contributed to the
intensification of polarization are inserted in the moral, economic, security and interpersonal
relations spheres. Divided into three chapters, the first explores the process of opinion formation
and the changes in the media field resulting from new digital media, provides an overview of
the political and social forces that contributed to ideological polarization, resulting in what is
called the "new cultural wars"; the second chapter, of an empirical nature, focuses attention on
Jovem Pan, its insertion in the media field and the strict analysis of the discourse of its debaters,
from which the aim is to establish a qualitative correspondence on the political and social
implications of its actions towards the public sphere, democracy and the crisis that led to
polarization and the “cultural wars”.
