Abstract: Over the last two decades, the number of women, children, and adolescents migrating
to Brazil has significantly increased. Motherhood always brings the challenge of caring for
children. Typically, caregiving tasks fall on women-mothers, with a greater impact on those
working in the formal labor market or generating income through informal activities. In the
case of international migrants, in addition to issues related to child care and the need to balance
work and family, adaptation to a new culture must also be considered. This paper addresses this
topic, exploring, though not exhaustively, the place of motherhood in studies and research on
international migration. Next, we identify the main themes addressed in research on the
Brazilian migratory reality. Finally, we present and classify the key contributions found in the
analyzed studies and research.

Imigração venezuelana em Sergipe sob uma perspectiva interseccional: gênero e etnia

Título: Imigração venezuelana em Sergipe sob uma perspectiva interseccional: gênero e etnia
Autor(es): Ferreira, Eduardo Leite; Lustosa, João Heitor Nogueira Castro
Abstract: This research investigates the conditions experienced by Venezuelan migrants
belonging to the Warao ethnic group and those who do not belong to this ethnicity but reside in
Sergipe. The focus of this study revolves around how the needs and difficulties of migrants
manifest in their bodies. The body is analyzed here as a space where migration experiences
materialize, such as stress, vulnerability, adaptation strategies, and sensory expressions. The
central question is to understand how the migratory process of these individuals is reflected in
their bodies. The methodology included a literature review on migration, body, gender, and
ethnicity, as well as fieldwork. Semi-structured questionnaires and in-depth interviews were
conducted, using techniques such as snowball sampling and focus groups. The results reveal
that the migratory experiences of Warao migrants are influenced by issues of gender and
ethnicity. Women face specific challenges, such as difficulties in accessing resources and social
integration, highlighting gender inequalities. Venezuelan migrants, as well as Warao Indigenous
people, face heightened vulnerability due to cultural barriers. The theoretical analysis presented
here, based on the concept of the "migrant body," demonstrates how bodily and identity-related
issues shape migratory trajectories.

Abstract: The present work aims to address the identity phenomenon in Peruvian migrants with
gastronomic enterprises in the city of São Paulo. It is based on the premise that identities
become a mutable element that would obey different reasons, from adapting to a new place or
territory to business strategy reasons. This identity ranges from the relationship with the dish,
the gastronomic cultural nature and how the elaboration process can modify the initial identity
itself for a different one that complies with the current moment and surroundings.
