Starting from the problematization of the discourse of freedom and flexibility promoted by this new production model, the study investigates how such narratives conceal relationships of exploitation, instability, and vulnerability. This bibliographic research draws on authors such as Ursula Huws, Richard Sennett, Vincent de Gaulejac, among others, to understand how technological advancements affect not only the way people work, but also how they think, feel, and act. The study highlights the emergence of the "cybertariat" and the intensification of the “entrepreneur of the self” model, in which individuals are required to constantly adapt, perform, and remain productive—even under adverse conditions. Furthermore, the research reveals how labor relations are shaped by processes of gamification, isolation, and the dematerialization of production, which hinder collective organization and solidarity among workers. Supplementary health is a segment that links the psychologist as an autonomous professional, a relationship that can be considered fragile. And the clinical performance, in unsatisfactory conditions, can accentuate the stressors experienced. This project aimed to describe the characteristics of work and occupational health of clinica l psychologists who work in the supplementary network. Semi-structured individual interviews were carried out with 6 clinical psychologists who work through health plans, defined by the “snowball” selection thecnique. The data produced were analyzed using the content analysis thecnique. The material was grouped into two thematic categories: characteristics of clinical work and in the supplementary network, and aspects related to health and job satisfaction. The results showed characteristics of precarious work, such as financial insecurity, overload due to the volume of work, and a relationship of helplessness towards the operators of the supplmenetary health network. The consequences for occupational health included mental fatigue, psychological exhaustion due to stressors inherent to the relationship with the health plan, dissatisfaction with work in supplementary health and impact on physical health. The data allow us to conclude that the psychologist’s work in supplementary health needs urgent improvements, and the occupational health of these professionals should be the object of future study and intervention. 2022-06-07T00:00:00Z
