Abstract: The wastewater reuse or final disposal, according to legislation, is considered one
of the main environmental concerns of the oil and gas industry, both for the amount of volume
generated on the polluter risk of the effluent. Produced water is effluent is inherent in the
process of the entire oil and gas chain, variations and concentrations of contaminants are
differentiated by location and maturation of petroleum reservoirs. With oil and gas extracted,
the volume of water produced rises and may reach a limit where it is decided the closure of the
production of a reservoir due to its high cost for processing of effluent. For treatment, there
are several technologies available in the market. Accordingly, studies and researches seeking
new forms and sources to minimize costs and impacts of the treatment process with efficiency
to removal of contaminants. Based on this information this paper presents research on the
generation and treatment of produced water.

Abstract: The drilling fluids are complex combinations of several compounds that are used in
oil activity to secure and assist the oil exploration process. They can assume aspects of
suspension, colloidal dispersion or emulsion. Usually, they are employed in the clean up of
gravel generated at the deep end by the drill and transport the same to the surface. The
transport of these gravels to the surface it has been a major concern of in this area, given that
an inefficient process in cleaning of wells can lead to problems that might prevent continuation
of operation. This study aimed to develop a glycerin-based drilling fluid in order to improve the
sedimentation of gravel; accelerating the removal time and decrease affectivity of the fluids of
the environment.

Avaliação de um meio adsorvente a partir da Moringa oleifera Lam para uso no tratamento de água produzida

Abstract: The produced water, originated from the extraction and production of petrolium, has
a high content of oil and grease, so, due to this factor the necessity of treatment. The study is
to develop a treatment of water produced using two byproducts of crushed Moringa oleifera
Lam, acting as a means adsorbent for removal of TOG: the full crushed pod (with seed) and
the crushed pods without seed and without the spongy part of moringa. To analyze the design
efficiency a chemical study was done on laboratory scale with the aid of the BET Analysis and
it was concluded that Sample B obtained a better choice because it showed a high surface area,
how bigger is the surface area of the adsorbent, higher is their interaction with the adsorbate.
To the total pore volume, the Sample B showed better results, how greater is the volume, better
is the adsorbent function. With the provided data was possible to construct the adsorption and
desorption isotherms for each sample, the samples A and B are classified in mesopores (2-50
nm), according to IUPAC. From the results, and comparisons with products used, was observed
the efficiency of the byproducts of Moringa oleifera Lam as adsorbent means that can replace
them in the industry as an alternative means.

Abstract: The main Brazilian cities was initially developed around the coastal regions, in view
of this, urbanization on the coast have been characterized by intense alteration and
deterioration of the landscape. The economic importance of the borders of Brazil's beaches
have given the high relevance encompassing tourism is fully linked to environmental value and
the natural coastline and coastal regions represent. In this regard, several buildings are
installed around the edge of the adjacent vicinity to the point of being endangering
environmental and social resources. The city of Aracaju and the Watchtower Orla fit into this
context. Thus, this study aims to verify how is the waste management in Orla de Atalaia and
provocative note the main sources of impacts and the consequences of these acts. In view of
this, we can ascertain that the Aracaju city Orla even with a good state of conversation, there
is the presence of actions that can possibly be harmful to the environmental and society, causing
environmental impacts in the long and short term. The disposal of waste from leisure activities
and construction in the study area occurs in parts so that you can come harm the soil and water
resources, due to the pollution caused. Thus, conservation and proper management of the
Watchtower Orla are extremely important to meet economic purposes jointly with the
environmental balance.
