Abstract: This research note presents a discussion on the research results related to the dissertation to be defended in the Graduate Program in Geography (PPGEO) at the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS). This work assay the issues concerning to the succession of geographic means and the constitution of bathing spaces in the North Coast  of  Bahia,  a  spatial  section  of  the  investigation.  Sought  if  understand  from  the  articulation  of  Milton Santos' ideas how public and private agents territorialized tourist practices with the support of bathing in the region.</description>

Abstract: The Countryside Education as a public policy is a conquest of the countryside’s social movements who struggle for land, for agrarian reform and for a sustainable field project that has peasant/family agriculture as its center. It is therefore an essential instrument of the peasantry’s resistance and strengthening in defense of its project and its reproduction. However, the achievements of social movements were accompanied by setbacks, among them the closing of schools in the countryside, a phenomenon that has been configured as a counter-policy to the policy of Countryside Education. Therefore, this article aims to analyze the closing of schools located in the Brazilian and Sergipe’s countryside and their repercussions on education and cultural reproduction of countryside peoples. For this purpose, a data collection was made at the School Census/ INEP, using the data from  1998  to  2020,  as  well  as  field  research  and  bibliographical  research.  The  data  revealed  that  in  Brazil almost 60% of state and municipal schools were closed in the countryside. In Sergipe the percentage of the period studied was 46.6%. The closing of schools has been accompanied by the reduction of enrollment in the countryside, a fact that points to a perverse picture of denial of the right to education of countryside peoples affecting their future as citizens and as peasants.; La Educación Rural como política pública es un logro de dos movimientos sociales rurales que luchan por la tierra,  por  la  reforma  agraria  y  por  un  proyecto  de  campo  sostenible  que  tenga  como  centro  la  agricultura campesina/familiar. Constituye un instrumento esencial de resistencia y fortalecimiento del campesinado, en defensa  de  su  proyecto  y  su  reproducción.  Sin  embargo,  los  logros  de  los  movimientos  sociales estuvieron acompañados de retrocesos, incluido el cierre de escuelas en el campo, fenómeno que se establece como una contrapolítica a la política de Educación Rural. Así, este artículo tiene como objetivo analizar el cierre de las escuelas ubicadas en el interior brasileño y el sergipano y sus repercusiones en la educación y reproducción cultural de la población rural. Se realizó un relevamiento de datos con el Censo Escolar/Inep, de 1998 a 2020, e  investigaciones  de  campo  y  bibliográficas.  Los  datos  revelaron  que  en  Brasil casi  el  60%  de  las  escuelas estatales y municipales estaban cerradas en el interior. En Sergipe, el porcentaje en el período estudiado fue del 46,6%. El cierre de escuelas ha ido acompañado de una reducción de la matrícula rural, hecho que apunta a un cuadro perverso de negación del derecho a la educación de la población rural, afectando su futuro como ciudadanos y como campesinos.</description>
