Título: Religião, educação e laicidade: a atuação adventista através do Projeto Adote um Leitor
Autor(es): Vieira, Vitelmo da Silva
Abstract: This study analyzed the actions of the Seventh-day Adventist Church through the
Adote um Leitor Project, implemented at José Antônio dos Santos Municipal School,
in the city of Lagarto, state of Sergipe (Brazil), during the 2021–2022 period,
analyzing its educational and social outcomes and its implications for the principle of
secularity. The general objective was to examine how the Church’s involvement
through this project engages with, impacts, or potentially tensions the principle of
secularity within the public school context. Methodologically, this is a qualitative study
of an interpretative-comprehensive nature, grounded in a hermeneutical approach as
articulated by Hans-Georg Gadamer and Paul Ricoeur. The corpus consisted of preexisting materials related to the project, including institutional documents, printed
pedagogical materials, audiovisual records, and testimonies from mothers of
participating children, school representatives, and sponsors. The theoretical
framework draws on the concept of secularization as developed by Peter Berger, as
well as on discussions of secularity based on the contributions of Marília Domingos
and Sérgio Junqueira and Marcos Vinícius Reis. The findings indicated that the Adote
um Leitor Project was well received by the school community and positively
perceived by society as an educational support initiative, promoting significant
improvements in reading development, socialization, and the expansion of personal
expectations and future aspirations among the children benefited, without evidence
of explicit proselytism. However, the study also revealed that the presence of a
religious denomination within a public school may contribute to the naturalization of
this institutional presence and generate tensions with the principle of state secularity,
thereby requiring ongoing and careful vigilance.

Educação inclusiva e o ensino superior: o que pensam os professores?

Título: Educação inclusiva e o ensino superior: o que pensam os professores?
Autor(es): Fernandes, Cláudia Maria
Abstract: The University's support triad is teaching, research and extension. In general, through
its organizational structure, it must train professionals who master scientific, technical
and critical knowledge. The training process faces several challenges, among them,
the inclusion of people with disabilities. An important pillar for the university to be
inclusive is teacher training. The teacher must be able to think about the curriculum,
adapt strategies, use assistive pedagogical resources and provide accessibility in all
its senses. The objective of this research was to analyze how professors see and
promote the process of inclusion of students with disabilities in undergraduate courses
in Nursing and Medicine. To this end, methodologically, the approach was qualitative,
exploratory and action research. The research was carried out on the campus of the
Teacher Training Center, Cajazeiras/PB. Participants were six professors of the
Nursing course, six professors of the Medicine course, the coordinators of the courses,
and the coordination of the Center for Accessibility and Inclusion. Semi-structured
interviews, focus groups and a seminar were used as data collection instruments. The
results include which the recognition that the problems that permeate the inclusion of
people with disabilities in the spaces of the university are inherent to the Institution in
all its context; that some issues are structural, such as the absence of a qualified team
exclusively assigned to the Accessibility and Inclusion Center; that there are
accessibility gaps in the university's infrastructure; that in relation to the training of
teachers, most of them have a bachelor's degree, therefore, there is an absence of
pedagogical training aimed at the inclusion of people with disabilities; that not all
teachers are sensitized to the inclusion process; that there is a gap between
educational policies and practices; that the university has not fully committed to the
inclusion of people with disabilities, but has taken steps to do so. To conclude, the final
seminar pointed out paths and proposals, recorded in a document to be forwarded to
central sectors, so that the university becomes a right for all.

Abstract: This dissertation investigates the empirical production on succession in family
businesses, aiming to identify recurring themes, systematize analytical categories, and
reinterpret them in light of Behavior Analysis. It is based on the premise that family
business succession should not be focused solely on the formal transfer of leadership or
assets, but as a complex process traversed by family, organizational, cultural, emotional,
and behavioral dimensions. Methodologically, the research is characterized as qualitative,
bibliographic, and theoretical-analytical, developed through a qualitative scoping review,
inspired by the principles of PRISMA-ScR, associated with content analysis of the
selected studies. From an initial survey of 29 academic works, 23 studies were selected
to compose the final corpus, consisting of 18 dissertations, 4 theses, and 1 monograph.
The analysis identified recurring characteristics such as founder centralization, low
successor autonomy, intergenerational conflicts, lack of succession planning, influence
of family values, the emotional dimension of succession, family-business overlap, and
governance. These characteristics were organized into analytical categories and
reinterpreted based on the concepts of contingency, reinforcement, rule control,
avoidance, and metacontingency. As a result, a theoretical-interpretative analytical matrix
is proposed, aimed at understanding the patterns that support or hinder generational
transition in family businesses.
