Abstract: In  today's  globalized  world,  information  has  undergone  significant  transformations.  Technological advances,  such  as  the  development  of  computers  and  the  widespread  use  of  the  internet,  have  led  to greater  concern  about  the  roles  and  management  of  data  and information  within  organizations. Additionally, attention has increasingly focused on the handling and disposal of anything that can be identified  as  data  or  information  within  these  institutions.  The  aim  of  this  study  is  to  investigate  the impact of implementing the Brazilian Data Protection Law (LGPD) in the university environment. This is  an  exploratory  and  descriptive  study  based  on  a  single  case  study  approach.  Data  were  collected through  interviews  consisting  of  16  questions  divided  into  three  categories  and  administered  to  staff members  of  the  Undergraduate  Departments  of  the  Center  for  Applied  Social  Sciences.  The  results revealed  a  variety  of  responses  and  perspectives  among  the  interviewees.  However,  despite  the difficulties encountered at the university in question, with these limitations (technical/manual) being the cause or problem identified by the researchers, the collaboration of the staff members in ensuring the best possible service while upholding the institutional norms becomes evident.</description>

Abstract: The objective of this research is to analyze negotiation skills for the Executive Secretariat and verify how competitive it is to enter or remain in the job market. Being a descriptive quantitative research, with a questionnaire applied to Executive Secretariat students at the Federal University of Sergipe in person via a link in Google forms, on the researcher's cell phone or on the student's telephone device. The findings were that the teaching of the Executive Secretariat course focused on negotiation skills is superficial and only communication is taught at an advanced level. Negotiation and skills focused on the job market are essential for secretarial students who want to be competitive in the employment sector.</description>

Abstract: The theme of this study was the beliefs and practices of academic reading, in view of this, it was investigated:  what  is  the  relationship  between  the  beliefs  and  practices  of  academic  reading  of  the students of the Executive Secretarial of the Federal University of Sergipe (UFS)?Thus, the general objective was to investigate the relationship between the beliefs and academic reading practices of these students. The study started from a theoretical survey about beliefs and reading practices andhas a qualitative approach with a descriptive nature.A semi-structured interview was carried out with three students from the 2018 class of the Executive Secretariat course by Google Meet. It was observed that the interviewees believed that they were encouraged to read during graduation by the professors, but there were other factors which frustrated and discouraged the academics who could not understand reading, such as excessive formality, jargon, fancy language, dense reading, as well as like lack of time.It is also concluded that reading practices are predominantly influenced by beliefs.</description>

Abstract: The  study  intended  to  analyze  how  the  occupants  of  executive  secretary  positions  at  the  Federal University  of  Sergipe  perform.  The  research  was  characterized  as  descriptive,  with  a  quantitativeapproach, whose analysis used the resources of descriptive statistics, with questions guided by Law nº 11.091/2005. The research identified 11 occupants of the position of executive secretary at the UFS who were admitted through the contests held between 2006 and 2018, 05 servers with college in executive secretarial, 04 with college in letters, 02 have both graduations. It was identified that the main activities carried out by the occupants of the position of executive secretary at UFS are to advise theirmanagers, prepare, file and control documents and correspondence, serve internal and external users, use computer resources and assist in meetings. As for skills, awareness of ethical responsibilities, initiative, creativity, competence and willingness tolearn stand out. As this mapping shows the culture of the position for the University,  such  as  the  presence  of  the  executive  secretary  at  different  levels  of  the  organizational structure at UFS. As main results stand out that in the vision, both the secretaries and the managers, the occupants of the position of secretary perform the activities that are described in the referred law; the practice of the occupants of the UFS executive secretary positions is linked to the field of management and secretarial techniques.</description>
