Título: Estudo tecno-funcional de ferramentas líticas do Holoceno médio: análise de ferramentas de baixa visibilidade e comparação tecnográfica dos artefatos líticos do Sítio Cachoeira do Pingador (MT)
Autor(es): Melo, Andréia Walker da Silva
Abstract: The research focuses on the analysis of lithic tools from the Cachoeira do Pingador archaeological site, located in Mato Grosso, dating back to the Middle Holocene. The study is based on the techno-functional approach, which allows for the investigation of both the technological aspects and the functional potential of these tools, with the aim of better understanding the cultural dynamics and technical knowledge of the ancient populations that inhabited this region. Additionally, the research conducts a comparative and technological study, analyzing the similarities and differences between the lithic artifacts from this site and period. Situated within the context of the scarce research on Middle Holocene lithic material cultures in the Brazilian Central Plateau—considered a problematic period due to the low visibility of lithic artifacts and the lack of standardization in technological characteristics—the goal is to expand the understanding of the occupation processes in the Brazilian Central Plateau, highlighting the complexity of the artifact structures of tools from this period. Although these tools have limited technical visibility, they reveal sophisticated technical schemes that warrant greater comprehension.

Título: São Cristóvão/SE, do campo ao laboratório: uma perspectiva integrada para compreensão e interpretação de dados arqueológicos descontextualizados
Autor(es): Silva, Bruna Luiza Ferreira
Abstract: This study aims to analyze the interpretive potential of decontextualized archaeological collections housed in technical reserves. It addressesarchaeological management and collection curation, examining the trajectory of archaeological data from the fieldwork stage to their preservation in institutions responsible for safeguarding these materials. To support this discussion, the research is framed within an interpretive and socially engaged perspective,
addressing the development of archaeological theory and practice, as well as theoretical, methodological, and institutional advances and the challenges related to data management in the Brazilian context, marked by the need to consolidate systematic, reflexive, and socially committed practices. The central objective of this work is the analytical evaluation of the trajectories and curatorial practices associated with collections originating from the first stage of the expansion works of the sewage system in the historic center of São Cristóvão, Sergipe, as well as the analysis of their contribution to the symbolic restitution of heritage to society. To achieve this, qualitative analyses were conducted, combining a literature review, documentary research, historical contextualization of the urban space, and examination of the initial curatorial processes of the collection derived fromtheproject.Theinvestigationarticulates archaeological theory, material data, and historical and institutional information in order to understand the interpretive possibilities of the collection despite the gaps resulting from the absence of systematic archaeological field records.

Título: As marcas da ancestralidade: um olhar sobre modificações dentárias internacionais na cidade de Marechal Deodoro –AL
Autor(es): Almeida, Jane Viana
Abstract: The present study presents the results of analyses of dental modifications and dental wear found in the skeletal remains of individuals from the Igreja Matriz de Nossa Senhora da Conceição, located in the city of Marechal Deodoro, AL. The main objective of the research was to identify the patterns of dental modifications in these individuals and evaluate the levels of dental wear, as well as determine the morphological and biocultural factors to better understand their ancestry. The study aimed to investigate the biocultural markers of these individuals, their ethnic group, and the purpose of the dentale, 210 teeth were analyzed, 15 of which showed intentional dental modifications. This site revealed a pattern of intentional dental modifications that suggests a biocultural marker, similar to the patterns found at the previously mentioned sites. As such, this study provides new information and interpretative elements regarding the cultural dental modification patterns present in Brazil.
