Título: Entre ebós e abraços: expressões da vida social organizada em um terreiro de Umbanda
Autor(es): Alves, Ártemis de Araujo
Abstract: This dissertation analyzes how organized social life manifests in an Umbanda terreiro,
based on an ethnographic study conducted at Caminho da Flecha, located in Aracaju,
Brazil. Grounded in the concept of organized social life, the study challenges traditional
views of organization restricted to formal institutions, highlighting everyday, ritual,
affective, and mnemonic practices as legitimate forms of collective organization. The
research adopts ethnography as its methodological approach, combining participant
observation, field notes, and semi-structured interviews with community members, while
acknowledging the researcher’s positionality as a participant. The findings show that
rituals structure roles, temporalities, and hierarchies; that ordinary forms of management
sustain care, belonging, and social bonds; and that memory—ancestral, embodied, and
performative—acts as a central organizing force, transmitted through dreams,
storytelling, and oral traditions. By situating the terreiro as an analytical locus, the study
contributes to organizational studies by expanding the notion of organization, challenging
hegemonic epistemologies, and legitimizing Afro-centered knowledges historically
marginalized, affirming the terreiro as a social, political, and epistemological space of
resistance and life-making.

Abstract: The university, as an educational institution, assumes the role of training teachers through the
creation of permanent policies aimed at pedagogical practice. Thus, didactic-pedagogical
training in Business Education is relevant for administrators who decide to work as teachers in
higher education. The Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel
(CAPES) suggests basic pedagogical and didactic training during the master's degree for
students who wish to pursue a teaching career. There is a growing challenge in Graduate
Programs in Administration (PPGAs) to provide students with the opportunity to learn with
new teaching methods. Thus, this study aims to understand how the Graduate Program in
Administration (PROPADM/UFS) develops the didactic-pedagogical training of master's
students. Methodologically, a qualitative approach and phenomenography strategy were
adopted, using interviews, focus groups, and documentary research, through
phenomenographic analysis, with the aim of presenting the experiences of active students and
graduates of PROPADM/UFS. Based on a systematic review of the literature on Business
Education and teacher training in graduate programs, it was possible to identify four
contributions to the advancement of research: (a) the nature and knowledge of teachers and
teaching skills as theoretical-conceptual approaches, (b) the identification of themes related to
teacher training and teaching practice (teaching internship, subjects focused on teaching, active
methodologies, and the teaching-learning process), and (c) a proposal for a research framework
on teacher training. The main results reveal that the quality of the didactic-pedagogical training
offered by the program is perceived as being in a stage of development, with interviewees
understanding that the depth of learning, in terms of teacher training, depends on the dedication
of the subject teachers and the advisor. The teaching internship was unanimously reported by
the interviewees as the greatest experience of didactic-pedagogical training, evaluated as an
opportunity that provides contact with the classroom, especially with students and the
educational environment. However, the study points out limitations such as the absence of a
mandatory discipline that prepares the master's student before taking over the classroom. For
the interviewees, there is a clear tension between the roles of researcher and teacher, driven by
CAPES' quantitative evaluation metrics that prioritize scientific production over pedagogical
preparation. As its main contribution, the study offers valuable insights into the training
trajectory at PROPADM/UFS, allowing the identification of areas that require improvement
and the recognition of effective educational practices. In addition, the results contribute to the
debate on the necessary integration between teaching and research in graduate studies, serving
as a basis for agencies such as CAPES and other Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) to
formulate guidelines that promote robust teacher training aligned with the Brazilian reality.

Título: Análise do valor relacional na cocriação de valor de rede Atlantica Hotels região nordeste durante a crise da Covid-19
Autor(es): Oliveira, Jeovana
Abstract: This research analyzed how the formation elements of relational value: sharing, trust and,
cooperation contributed in value co-creation of the Atlantica Hotels chain during the COVID19 pandemic. For this purpose, was reached specific objectives were as follows: (i) analyze
how relational aspects contribute in value conception the Atlantica Hotels chain during the
COVID-19 pandemic; (ii) identify the value co-creation on the Atlantica Hotels during the
COVID-19 pandemic from the DART model; (iii) analyze how formation elements of relational
value (sharing, trust and, cooperation) impact on transaction coasts reduction of Atlantica
Hotels chain during the COVID-19 crisis. This research has a qualitative exploratory approach
and case study design. It was used participative observation to collect the results, a survey of
company documents, and applied a structured questionnaire containing 20 questions, of which
20 of those were objectives and 2 essay questions. The questionnaire was sent to 234
administrators: directors, managers, and coordinators with a total of 85 respondents. The data
were analyzed according to the content analysis proposed by Bardin (2016), establishing an
ongoing dialogue with the pertinent literature. For the answer’s validation, it was considered
the percentage of choice from the objective questions cross-referencing the data from questions
and participative observation (STAKE, 2005). The essay questions were tabulated and
associated with main ideas, based on the elements studied (dialogue, access, risk, transparency,
sharing, trust, and cooperation). It has been concluded that there is in the chain sharing actions
the presence of the constructs cooperation and trust, as well as the elements of the DART model:
dialogue, access, risk, and transparency, which resulted in a reduction of the hotel’s transaction
costs. The record shows that sharing of ideas and resources was followed by collaborative
attitudes between the units, in an environment of trust. This action helps to strengthen relations
and contribute to the co-creative process, in which mutual benefits are perceived. Through the
results, it was possible to analyze how relational aspects contribute the co-creation of value in
the Atlantica Hotels chain. Through these aspects, there was an increase in the amount of
information, joint ideas, team actions, and work support in face of a critical scenario.

Semear inovações: agroecologia no semiárido sergipano em tempos de Antropoceno

Título: Semear inovações: agroecologia no semiárido sergipano em tempos de Antropoceno
Autor(es): Vieira, Valesca Oliveira
Abstract: We live in the Anthropocene, a new geological epoch marked by human influence on the
planet's natural systems (Crutzen, 2002; Folke et al., 2021). This context imposes global
challenges to sustainability, requiring profound transformations in the relationships between
society and nature. In the face of these challenges, innovation must be understood in an
expanded way, contributing to the construction of a more just and sustainable society. In this
context, agroecology stands out as an alternative proposal that articulates traditional and
scientific knowledge, especially in the Global South, promoting agricultural practices
integrated into local realities. Its systemic approach encompasses ecological, economic, and
social aspects, offering adaptable solutions at different scales. However, its implementation still
faces structural obstacles, such as a lack of technical support and high initial costs. In the semiarid region, where agriculture is central to the economy but also a source of environmental
degradation, agroecology emerges as a possibility for transformation adapted to the specificities
of the territory. Thus, the objective of this research is to understand innovations in agroecology
for addressing challenges in the semi-arid region of Sergipe. The theoretical framework is based
on the concepts of the Anthropocene, innovation, and agroecology, incorporating the debate on
planetary boundaries, the challenges of sustainable development, and the possibilities of
transition to more just and resilient agrifood systems. The research adopted a qualitative,
exploratory, and descriptive approach, using a single case study methodology. The presentation
of the results mapped the challenges present in the semi-arid region of Sergipe, identified
agroecological innovations, and understood the forms of application of the ecological,
economic, and social dimensions of agroecology. The discussion of the results reveals that
innovation, in this context, is a process of 're-existence' that integrates social technologies for
coexistence with the semi-arid region and the strengthening of female protagonism. The
findings demonstrate that the agroecological transition acts as a system of socio-ecological
resilience, where water management, agrobiodiversity conservation, and productive autonomy
are inseparable from collective organization and the enhancement of cultural identity. Finally,
it is perceived that agroecology subverts the logic of scarcity, transforming climate vulnerability
into adaptive capacity and promoting sustainability in times of planetary uncertainties.
Theoretically, the research advances by connecting the debate on planetary boundaries to family
farming practices in the Global South, while, in practice, it validates the effectiveness of social
technologies and highlights the central role of women's associations in territorial governance.
