Título: O Trabalho de Conclusão de Disciplina (TCD) como abordagem de aprendizagem baseada em projeto (ABP) : um relato de caso em Educação Farmacêutica
Autor(es): Valadares, Pablo dos Santos
Abstract: Introduction: The disciplines of Pharmacotechnics I and II are an important part in the training of pharmacists, as they are essential professionals qualified for the development and manipulation of formulations. In this way, a monitoring program was implemented using the competencies and skills indicated by the World Economic Forum as a reference. Objective: To present the basis of the pedagogical foundation and understand how monitoring contributes to the development of the skills and abilities mentioned by the World Economic Forum. Methodology: The logbook was created in pharmacotechnique I and the course completion work in pharmacotechnique II. At the end, a questionnaire was administered. Results and Discussion: In this sense, students were able to choose which skills they think they worked on throughout the work and described the experience according to the skills chosen. Conclusion: Through the work carried out, therefore, students had the opportunity to develop innovative formulations and shared their experiences and perceptions. This training model can serve as a model for other disciplines, as well as contributing to the training of students and monitors.

Título: Uso do carbonato de lítio no tratamento do Transtorno Afetivo Bipolar

Abstract: Introduction: Bipolar Disorder (BD) is a mental disorder characterized by extreme mood swings, which can range from manic episodes with euphoria, hyperactivity, and nervousness; to depressive episodes with sadness, discouragement, and suicidal thoughts, which may alternate with periods of normal mood. Lithium carbonate is considered the firstline drug in the treatment of BD, especially in its acute phase, as it minimizes relapses and suicidal thoughts. Objective: The objective of this research was to conduct an integrative review focusing on identifying the most recent literature on the use of lithium carbonate in the treatment of BD. Method: An integrative review was carried out with a time interval of 5 years (2020 to 2024), of articles in Portuguese and English. The SciELO, Virtual Health Library, PubMed, and Google Scholar databases were accessed, with approximately 189 articles found. Result: Six articles were selected, where it was observed that BD is a serious disease, which can be accompanied by other mental disorders, such as depression. Lithium has proven, over the years, to be the best choice in the treatment and control of symptoms. There is a need for routine examinations and multidisciplinary monitoring for better safety and therapeutic care. Conclusion: This review contributed to identify what current scientific research reveals about the use of lithium carbonate in the treatment of BD, being the standard in the treatment of this pathology, as it is the mood stabilizer due to its comprehensive efficacy in all phases of BD, in addition to antidepressant properties.

Uso de Cannabis Sativa no tratamento da doença Alzheimer

Título: Uso de Cannabis Sativa no tratamento da doença Alzheimer
Autor(es): Silva, Jonh Lucas dos Santos
Abstract: Alzheimer's disease (AD) is the most common type of dementia worldwide. Individuals suffering from this neurodegenerative disease, suffer from memory loss and disorientation, leading to difficulties with organization, speech and sudden mood swings. These symptoms cause patients a significant loss in their quality of life, affecting their work, interpersonal relationships and leisure activities. The pathology of AD is still not well understood. It is believed that synapses suffer from the accumulation of proteins that can form plaques or become tangled, leading to the loss of brain tissue. There is still no single treatment that slows down, stops or is capable of reversing the effects of AD. Current medications are only palliative, making it necessary to produce new effective medications against this disease. In this context, phytocannabinoids, derived from Cannabis Sativa, have attracted much attention in the medical field in recent decades, due to their broad area of beneficial effects, their low side effects and significant improvement of patients quality of life. Its pharmacological effects come from the interaction of its metabolites, Tetrahydrocannabinol and Cannabidiol, which with the endocannabinoid system, more specifically in the CB1 and CB2 receptors. Therefore, the objective of this study is to conduct a review of the possible applications of the use of Cannabis in the treatment of AD and the legislation involving its release for medicinal purposes.

Título: Conhecimento sobre as Práticas Integrativas e Complementares dos discentes da área da saúde na Universidade Federal de Sergipe : um estudo piloto
Autor(es): Mendonça, Íris Oliveira; Santos, Kananda Sousa
Abstract: Integrative and Complementary Practices, recognized by the world health organization, are in growing demand and have students' knowledge as an influencing factor for the training of health professionals and their advancement in the Unified Health System. The general objective of this work was to evaluate the knowledge of students at the Federal University of Sergipe about Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (PICS). To this end, questionnaires were administered to a sample of 50 university students in the health field at the José Aloísio de Campos Campus of the Federal University of Sergipe, São Cristóvão. Given this, it was found that 96% knew about PICS, while 4% responded no, the most cited by students were auriculotherapy, reiki, acupuncture, cupping therapy, homeopathy, herbal medicine and aromatherapy. Furthermore, only 50% of students responded that they knew the National Policy on Integrative and Complementary Practices. In view of this study, it is notable to observe the increasing visibility that Integrative and Complementary Health Practices (PICS) have been gaining. Therefore, it was possible to verify that the inclusion of mandatory and optional subjects in the curricula of health courses emphasizes greater knowledge about PICS and a different future approach for these professionals in training. Furthermore, students were interested in PICS and had a certain frequency of using the practices in their and their families' lives. Thus, the studies already read by them demonstrate that it is of great importance to encourage academic work, articles, discussions and the inclusion of more subjects in the curriculum to prepare the student.
