Abstract: This  study  analyzes  the  pedagogical  practices  of  6th  and  9th  grade  teachers  of  four  disciplines that  constitute  the  areas  of  Humanities,  Exact  Sciences  and  Sciences  with  students  in  a  situation  of academic  failure  at  the  Colégio  de  Aplicação  da  Universidade  Federal  de  Sergipe.  To  this  end,  our methodological  contribution  is  quantitative-qualitative  research,  through   instruments  of  collection  and analysis  of  documents  from  the  institution's  archives,  participant  observations  in  school  spaces  and  semi-structured  interviews  with  CODAP  teachers.  We  realized  that  CODAP  seeks  to  strengthen  educational democracy  using  access  mechanisms  that  combat  prejudice  and  discrimination,  in  turn,  social  inequalities. At  first,  we  found  low  failure  rates  in  the  analyzed  period.  With  this,  we  understand  that  CODAP  can contribute  to  education  in  the  state  of  Sergipe  in  the  sense  of  becoming  a  reference  by  publishing pedagogical practices, emphasizing the knowledge relations of teachers who, perhaps, improve the learning processes of their students at the beginning and end of Elementary School and final years.</description>

Abstract: This article presents the results of the research on the creation of the Federal University of&#xD;
Sergipe, addressing aspects of the formation of the Brazilian scientific community. The context of&#xD;
such an investigation is the policy of federalization of the public universities whose origin was in the&#xD;
1920s, though intensified in the 1950s. Its aim is to highlight the three polarized fundamental&#xD;
clashes amongst their organizers and, therefore, to resume the policy of federalization of the first&#xD;
public university in Sergipe through desk research and oral testimony. The findings indicate that&#xD;
the FUS was composed of very different colleges amongst themselves and whose model was&#xD;
already practiced by the first Brazilian university.; Este artículo presenta los resultados de la investigación sobre la creación de la Universidad&#xD;
Federal de Sergipe, abordando los aspectos de la formación de la comunidad científica brasileña.&#xD;
El contexto de la investigación es la política de federalización de las universidades públicas de&#xD;
origen en la década de 1920, pero se intensificó en la década de 1950. El objetivo es poner de&#xD;
relieve los tres enfrentamientos clave polarizadas entre sus organizadores y, por tanto, retomar la&#xD;
política de federalización de la Sergipe primera universidad pública a través de la investigación de&#xD;
archivo y el testimonio oral. Los resultados indican que la UFS se compone de escuelas muy&#xD;
diferentes, junto con el modelo fue practicada por la primera universidad brasileña.; Cet article présente les résultats d‟une recherche sur la création de l'Université Fédérale de&#xD;
Sergipe tout en discutant des aspects de la formation de la communauté scientifique brésilienne.&#xD;
Le contexte de la recherche est celui de la politique de la fédéralisation des universités publiques&#xD;
dont les premières furent crées à partir des années 1920, mais dont la croissance la plus forte date&#xD;
des années 1950. L'objectif est de mettre en évidence les trois affrontements fondamentaux&#xD;
polarisés entre les organisateurs de ce processus et, par conséquent, de reprendre la politique de&#xD;
la fédéralisation de la première université publique de Sergipe à travers de la recherche dans des&#xD;
archives et des témoignages oraux. Les résultats indiquent que l'UFS a été formé par des facultés&#xD;
très différentes entre elles mais dont le modèle était déjà mis en pratique par la première&#xD;
université brésilienne.</description>

      <title>Relação com o saber de estudantes universitários: aprendizagens e processos</title>

Abstract: This article presents the results of an investigation that sought to&#xD;
understand higher education students’ relationship to knowledge,&#xD;
using Bernard Charlot’s relationship to knowledge theory as a&#xD;
theoretical reference. The field studied was a community university&#xD;
in a mid-sized city in the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil, and the subjects&#xD;
were 400 students at 24 undergraduate courses. The collection&#xD;
of data was performed using balances of knowledge, a tool&#xD;
proposed by Bernard Charlot, which consists of asking subjects&#xD;
to produce a written composition about their learnings. After&#xD;
presenting the quantitative aspects of the classification of learnings&#xD;
mentioned by students, the article discusses the predominance of&#xD;
learnings related to personal development, and uses the categories&#xD;
of mobilization and meaning to achieve deeper understanding of&#xD;
the accounts produced by students in their balances of knowledge.&#xD;
We concluded that the subjects’ relationship to knowledge is based&#xD;
on the valuing of their personal development-related learnings also&#xD;
with regard to what they have learned in the university, and that&#xD;
some of them are able to recognize the specificities of that particular&#xD;
institution as a learning space. The study identified three core topics&#xD;
around which are organized the meanings attributed by students&#xD;
to undergraduate education: achievement of a better life, changes&#xD;
in their worldviews, and mobilization relating to knowledge itself.</description>
