Abstract: School feeding plays a fundamental role in the food and nutritional security of Brazilian
students, being regulated by the National School Feeding Program (PNAE). To ensure
the nutritional quality of menus, the Quality Index for the Coordination of Food and
Nutritional Security (IQCOSAN) has been used as a monitoring tool. However, its
implementation still faces structural, operational, and political challenges. This study
aimed to analyze the challenges and perspectives for the effective implementation of
IQCOSAN in Brazil. This is an integrative literature review, in which 17 studies were
selected from recognized scientific databases, following inclusion and exclusion
criteria. The results showed that the adoption of IQCOSAN encounters difficulties such
as inadequate infrastructure, lack of training for responsible professionals, and the
absence of a continuous monitoring system. However, the studies also highlighted the
tool's potential to optimize the nutritional quality of school meals and strengthen public
food policies. It is concluded that, for IQCOSAN to be widely implemented and
effective, investment in infrastructure, professional training, and the integration of
technologies that facilitate its continuous use is necessary. Thus, the index can be
consolidated as an essential mechanism for ensuring students' food security in Brazil.

Abstract: Introduction: Food selectivity is a common phenomenon in children with ASD, characterized by
restricted food preferences, often with low nutritional value. This can lead to nutritional deficiencies and,
consequently, impact nutritional status, including the development of childhood obesity. Objective:
Describe the relationship between food selectivity and childhood obesity in children with Autism
Spectrum Disorder. Methodology: This is a literature review obtained through a bibliographic survey,
with the selection of articles published between 2018 and 2024. Thirty-six studies were analyzed, and six
articles were selected based on established inclusion criteria, such as methodological quality and relevance
to the topic. Results: The analyzed studies indicate a high prevalence of food selectivity among children
with ASD, which is linked to a restricted diet deficient in essential nutrients. Childhood obesity was
observed, especially in early childhood, being a potential risk factor for complications associated with
ASD. Nutritional intervention, with balanced diets and behavioral strategies, is crucial to mitigate these
effects. Conclusion: Food selectivity in children with ASD is a contributing factor to the development of
childhood obesity. The implementation of appropriate therapeutic and nutritional strategies is essential to
improve the nutritional status and quality of life of these children. Further studies are needed to refine
intervention approaches and understand the mechanisms behind this relationship.

Compilação de dados de emissão de carbono para ferramentas de análise de dietas Ecodiet

Título: Compilação de dados de emissão de carbono para ferramentas de análise de dietas Ecodiet
Autor(es): Fonseca, Raquel Cruz
Abstract: The current scenario is based on a diet that generates significant impacts on the
environment. In this context, the importance of measures aimed at alleviating this
situation arises, since food production is responsible for a third of environmental
deforestation. The objective of this study is the development of a tool for analyzing
dietary carbon dioxide emissions. To achieve this, data was first compiled from studies
published in national and international literature that analyzed food. The software, called
Ecodiet, was developed in partnership with students from the computing course at the
Federal University of Sergipe and will be filled with literature data that was previously
compiled. The 30 most consumed foods in Brazil were covered based on the 2008-2009
and 2017-2018 Family Budget Survey. The results showed that foods such as beef and
coffee had the highest CO2 emissions. The present study reveals that the Brazilian diet is
unsustainable and the use of this tool can help to reverse this situation and contribute to
research, encouraging measures that preserve biodiversity.

Abstract: Good School Feeding Practices are of fundamental importance to guarantee hygienic
and sanitary control in food handling, preventing cross-contamination through food.
The aim of this study was to apply a checklist to the municipal primary and secondary
schools in the municipality of Boquim, in order to verify the conformity and non
conformity of the food and nutrition units, using the Good Manufacturing Practices
Checklist in the UAN. The inspection criteria were assessed, including equipment,
facilities, furniture, buildings and their hygiene, pest and vector control, water supply,
waste management, handlers, raw materials, ingredients and packaging, food
preparation and storage, display of prepared food, documentation and records, and
responsibility. As a result of the results obtained, the classification of each unit followed
the scoring criteria of RDC 275/2002, the eight units were classified in Group 2 of
compliance, with a total that reached the percentages of 60.22% school B, 60.77%
units A and E, 61.88% H, 65.75% C, 67.96 schools D and F and 68.51% G. When
evaluated by block, the results were different. The highest scores, with 100%
compliance, were related to Pest and Vector Control, due to the fact that pest control
is carried out uniformly in all the units, even on different days, and Responsibility, as
all the units have a technical manager responsible for the activities carried out in the
units, as well as training for the handlers. The conclusion of this study was that the
results obtained through the good manufacturing practices checklist showed a low to
medium risk of contamination for all the items assessed, even in the face of some non
conformities, as they did not present a potential risk of infection.
