Arqueologia urbana no nordeste: revisão bibliográfica

Abstract

In this job, I explain the definition of Archeology, Historical Archeology and Urban Archeology in an overview by doing a bibliographical survey on Urban Archeology focusing on the Northeast and comparing Urban Archeology in Brazil, with simple and direct methodology placing the Northeast as the central theme of the context. Presenting details and definitions in the view of renowned archaeologists and their projects and how Urban Archeology developed and gained notoriety in the Northeast with the support of bodies such as the IPHAN and many others, contributing to studies and research on the urbanization of the Northeast, in a way that it is evident the importance of these works for the development of the science of Archeology and showing that the Northeast is rich in diversity of cultures, from the appearance as source of studies that contributes until today with the construction of the history of Urban Archeology and of the society in general. As a base of studies, I researched each state in the Northeast region of Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Maranhão, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Piauí, Rio Grande do Norte and Sergipe.
