Resumo :	A discriminação racial e social, principalmente contra a mulher, é um problema que atinge a maioria da população brasileira que sente dificuldade em integrar-se à comunidade social como um todo. As chances de emprego, os direitos e as condições de vida são desfavoravelmente relacionadas à sua sobrevivência. Lima Barreto valeu-se da literatura para denunciar criticamente as mazelas sociais sofridas pelas mulheres negras, pobres e ingênuas como deixou claro isso no romance Clara dos Anjos (1948). O romance é uma narrativa que tem por objetivo mostrar a condição social e moral da mulher mulata, que é oprimida, submissa e frustrada. No entanto, estão sendo criadas leis que visam diminuir a discriminação entre as pessoas de pele negra. Este trabalho é fruto de uma pesquisa qualitativa, tendo por objetivo principal, por meio de levantamento bibliográfico, buscar interrogar o papel da mulher em nossa sociedade e os avanços conquistados pelas mesmas, por uma vida digna e com direitos iguais. Para dar suporte ao desenvolvimento desse trabalho, alguns teóricos e pesquisadores literários fizeram parte de minha pesquisa bibliográficas entre eles Schwarcz (2017), Bosi (2017), Hidalgo (2008), Pimentel (1978), entre outros que expuseram seus artigos em mídia social.
Abstract:	Racial and social discrimination, especially against women, is a problem that affects the majority of the brazilian population that feels difficulty in integrating social community as a whole. The chances of employment, rights and living conditions are against your survival-related. Lima Barreto used literature to report critically the social ills suffered by black women, poor and naive as he made it clear that the novel Clara dos Anjos (1948). The novel is a narrative that aims to show the social and moral condition of the mulatto woman, who is oppressed, subservient and frustrated. However, being created laws that aim to decrease the discrimination between people of dark skin. This work is the fruit of a qualitative research, having as main objective, through bibliographical survey, get to question the role of women in our society and the advances achieved by the same, for a dignified life and with equal rights. To support the development of this, work some theorists and literary researchers were part of my bibliographic research among them Schwarcz (2017), Bosi (2017), Hidalgo (2008), Pimentel (1978), among others that have exposed your articles in social media
