Internações por hipertensão arterial sistêmica e estratégia de saúde da família em Sergipe

Abstract

Objective: to evaluate the trend of hospitalizations for arterial hypertension in Sergipe between 2008 and 2017 and to correlate hospitalization rates with Family Health Strategy coverage in the state and by health regions. Methodology: Ecological study, observational descriptive, from linear regression of hospitalizations for hypertension in Sergipe. All hospitalizations for hypertension registered in Hospital Information System of the Brazilian National Unified Health System (Sistema de Informações Hospitalares do Sistema Único de Saúde – DATASUS) between January 2008 and December 2017 in the estate were included and related to the Family Health Strategy coverage of the period. Results: There was a trend towards a drop in the rates of hospitalizations for hypertension in the state in the 10 years evaluated and in five health regionals. Only one health regional show negative correlation between hospitalizations and Family Health Strategy coverage. Conclusions: The hospitalizations for Hypertension in Sergipe showed a downward trend between 2008 and 2017 independent on the Family Health Strategy coverage.
