| Resumo : | Os agentes clareadores utilizados na Odontologia para o procedimento de clareamento dental podem gerar hipersensibilidade dentinária. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar, por meio de uma revisão narrativa, o uso do LED violeta durante o clareamento dental e seus efeitos sobre o controle da sensibilidade dentaria. O presente estudo realizou uma abordagem qualitativa exploratória, selecionando artigos publicados entre os anos de 2008 e 2022 nas principais bases de dados (PUBMED, MEDLINE, LILACS, SCIELO e BIREME) usando a combinação dos operadores booleanos (and/e, or/ou, not/and not/ e não), e utilizando os descritores “Clareamento dentário”, “LED violeta”, “hipersensibilidade dentinária” e “Clareamento”. Após a análise dos artigos pesquisados pôde-se observar que o LED violeta em associação aos géis clareadores apresentou-se como uma alternativa eficaz em diminuir o grau de hipersensibilidade dentinária pós clareamento, bem como eficiência dessa fonte de luz. |
| Abstract: | The bleaching agents used in dentistry in the tooth whitening procedure can generate dentin hypersensitivity as a side effect. This study aimed to analyze, by means of a narrative review, the use of violet LED during tooth whitening. The present study performed an exploratory qualitative approach, for such, articles published between the years 2015 and 2021 in the main databases (PUBMED, MEDLINE, LILACS, SCIELO and BIREME) were selected using the combination of Boolean operators (and/and, or/ou, not/and not/ and not), using the descriptors "Tooth whitening", "violet LED", "dentin hypersensitivity" and "Whitening". Thus, after the analysis of the researched articles it could be observed that the violet LED in association with bleaching gels presented itself as an effective alternative in reducing the degree of dentinal hypersensitivity after bleaching, as well as the efficiency of this light source. |
