A representação do feminino no conto Os laços de família, de Clarice Lispector

Abstract

In this work, based on a reflection on the history of marriage in the West, taking into account, above all, the place of the woman in modern family life, it develops a study on the representation of women in the story Os laços de família which integrates the collection Laços de família (1st ed., 1960), Clarice Lispector. From an analysis of the conflicts that structure the family drama experienced by the characters looking to reflect on the female configuration in the narrative is attempting to establish a parallel between the fictional universe in question and the historical reality that makes the correspondent relationship with the tale. To do so, it will be taken as theoretical references, among others, literary criticism studies and sociology area texts and cultural history, which allow us to think the relationship between literature and society, as well as reflect on the historical transformations that contributed to redefine thesocial places of women in contemporary society.
