De Gales à Venezuela : o prisma da paz nas perspectivas críticas em relações internacionais

Abstract

The present work is based on the effort to present and discuss theories of security and peace from a critical perspective. Initially, this is done by exposing the theoretical framework of Galtung and Peace Studies and its relationship with the main materialization of peace efforts today: the UN. Therefore, the work advances towards the contributions of the Welsh School of International Security, which through Booth and Wyn Jones, offers the framework of connection between peace and security with the process of emancipation in societies. Indeed, these contributions are enhanced from a perspective of the local situation, which aims to tension the conceptual production in peace and security with dissident experiences, in terms of hegemonic order. In this sense, the work intends to point out horizons for the expansion of conceptual production on security and peace in International Relations.
