Tons da língua indígena ticuna: uma análise prosódica

Abstract

This article researches the phonological typology and prosody in the Ticuna language. The general objective is to analyze the prosody and identify the typology of this language. The specific objectives are: to map in which region the indigenous language is spoken and analyze the oral and nasal vowels of the Ticuna language, verify the allophones of the Ticuna language and identify the most relevant prosodic marker in the language.The justification is to understand the phonological studies on the tones of an indigenous language, their prosodic relationship, and the influence of BP on that language bring changes in the meaning of the same word depending on the height of the tone. Theoretical framework based on an ongoing literature review, which will collect data from these original peoples throughout the investigation. Methodology consisted using Praat software, which verified the tones in utterances in this language through videos of speakers of the Ticuna language. The results showed that the language has two phonetic levels of pitch, high and low. Identified the different phonological parameters what” questions and declarative statements in the change of tones in the initial, middle and final contours of the sentence, the existence of lengthenings in the middle stressed syllables.
