Literatura infantil e a construção identitária das crianças : por uma educação literária antirracista e representativa

Abstract

Children's literature is able to lead the student to live and relive emotions, to fantasize, imagine, create, to know other cultures and experiences. This monograph had as general objective: To analyze narrative aspects of a set of children's literature books that stand out diversity in the identity construction of young children. The specific objectives being: To conceptualize “writings” in the context of school practices; explore important aspects of children's literature in childhood; highlight the importance of books and topics focused on ethnic-racial relations. The main question deals with: What is the importance of children's literature for the construction of children's identity? For this, seven books of children's literature were selected: "Meu crespo é de Rainha" by bell hooks (2018), "Meninas negras" (2010) and "Koumba e o tambor diambê" by Madu Costa (2009), "Que cor is my color? by Martha Rodrigues (2005), “Beautiful Girl with the Ribbon Bow” by Ana Maria Machado (2009), “Amoras” by Emicida (2018), “As Braids of Bintou” by Sylviane Anna Diouf, (2004), which address this themes and analyzes were carried out, seeking to identify how they portray the culture, identity, diversity and characters. In addition, bibliographic research was carried out to support the discussions with highlights for authors who dedicated themselves to studying childhood, children's literature, black characters. It was verified from the readings, records, analyzes of works and concepts of the authors that children's literature plays a necessary role in the formation of children's identity. Through books they can recognize themselves and feel felt. However, it is not the only solution to problems of representation and racial identification. Thus, it is necessary that educational practices are anti-racist in every sense based on respect, where the child is seen, valued and loved in his individuality.
