| Resumo : | Este trabalho pretende identificar e analisar os elementos textuais que nos remetem aos sentidos da colonização no conto “The Home-Coming”, de Milly Jafta. Para tanto, faremos uso de alguns pressupostos teóricos dos estudos culturais e da teoria pós-colonial (Hall, 2005; Bhabha, 1998), bem como da historiografia literária, política e cultural da Namíbia e seus diálogos, rejeições e relações com o cânone da literatura de língua inglesa. |
| Abstract: | This work aims to identify and analyze the textual elements that take us to the meanings of colonization in the short story “The Home-Coming”, by Milly Jafta. To do so, we will make use of some theoretical assumptions from cultural studies and postcolonial theory (Hall, 2005; Bhabha, 1998), as well as the literary, political and cultural historiography of Namibia and its dialogues, rejections and relationships with the canon of English-language literature. |
