| Resumo : | Este texto tem o objetivo de expor o Teorema Fundamental das Funções Simétricas e suas aplicações. Além disso, busca incentivar o leitor a utilizar a simetria/invariância, uma ferramenta simples e de baixo custo pedagógico para o ensino. Com base nisso e em outros resultados presentes nos currículos escolares desde o Ensino Médio, o leitor poderá resolver problemas mais complexos, como equações cúbicas, quádricas e biquadráticas, além de encontrar fórmulas para determinar suas raízes. Também será possível resolver sistemas de polinômios em duas variáveis, utilizando apenas seus coeficientes e as informações fornecidas pelo teorema. |
| Abstract: | This text aims to present the Fundamental Theorem of Symmetric Functions and its applications. In addition, it seeks to encourage the reader to use symmetry/invariance, a simple and low-cost pedagogical tool for teaching. Based on this and other results presented in school curricula since high school, the reader will be able to solve more complex problems, such as cubic, quadric and biquadratic equations, in addition to finding formulas to determine their roots. It will also be possible to solve systems of polynomials in two variables, using only their coefficients and the information provided by the theorem. |
