| Resumo : | Esta pesquisa analisa a trajetória artística e a estética das obras de Dom Pepe, artista que transforma sucatas metálicas em peças únicas. O estudo investiga suas técnicas, influências pessoais e sociais, e o impacto de sua produção no debate sobre arte, sociedade e meio ambiente. Destaca a ressignificação de materiais como expressão artística e como sua prática contribui para a valorização da cultura regional, além de provocar reflexões sobre a importância do trabalho de Dom Pepe, não apenas pela reutilização de materiais, mas também pela sua capacidade de instigar reflexões sobre memória, identidade e a transformação social por meio da arte sustentável. |
| Abstract: | This research analyzes the artistic trajectory and aesthetics of the works of Dom Pepe, an artist who transforms scrap metal into unique pieces. The study investigates his techniques, personal and social influences, and the impact of his production on the debate about art, society and the environment. It highlights the resignification of materials as an artistic expression and how his practice contributes to the valorization of regional culture, in addition to provoking reflections on the importance of Dom Pepe's work, not only for the reuse of materials, but also for his ability to instigate reflections on memory, identity and social transformation through sustainable art. |
