| Resumo : | Métodos de design auxiliados por computador (CAD) combinados à manufatura assistida por computador (CAM) podem tornar mais precisas e rápidas as remoções de patologias intraósseas não-osteolíticas, que muitas vezes são clinicamente indistinguíveis do tecido ósseo sadio adjacente. Neste relato, apresentamos o caso de uma paciente do sexo feminino, 54 anos, que buscava reabilitação implanto-suportada. O exame tomográfico sugeriu lesão intraóssea hiperdensa em mandíbula esquerda. O guia cirúrgico, desenhado com o add-on OrtogOnBlender, foi utilizado para desenhar a janela óssea através da qual a área osteoesclerótica foi abordada, preservando tecido ósseo e reduzindo o tempo operatório. A cavidade cirúrgica foi preenchida de acordo com os princípios de regeneração óssea guiada. No momento, a paciente aguarda a osseointegração do substituto ósseo para dar continuidade a seu tratamento cirúrgico-protético. |
| Abstract: | Computer-aided design and manufacturing (CAD/CAM) can make the removal of non osteolytic, intraosseous lesions - which are often clinically indistinguishable from the adjacent healthy bone tissue - more predictable and accurate. Here, we present the case of a 54 year-old female patient with a hyperdense intraosseous lesion in the left mandible. A surgical guide designed with the OrtogOnBlender add-on was 3D-printed and used to mark the bone window through which the osteosclerotic lesion was approached, thus preserving the surrounding healthy bone tissue while reducing operative time. The surgical cavity was filled with a bone substitute and protected with a resorbable membrane. At present, the patient awaits the osseointegration of the bone substitute to resume her surgical-prosthetic treatment. |
