A representação da imagem da biblioteca nas histórias em quadrinhos (HQs)

Abstract

Representation of information is one of the pillars of Librarianship, considering that the professionals who work directly with the latter must master the processes of analysis and synthesis in the reading of a certain document, always aiming to meet the users’ informational needs, when they seek the information they need in an information unit, be it physical or virtual, in order to retrieve it effectively and in the shortest possible time. Within this perspective and considering that the comics are forms of representation of the information within an imagistic-textual context, the present work presents as its objective: to analyze the representation of the image of the library in the universe of the comics, from the reading of comic strips contained in the Blog Bibliocomics. As for the methodology, regarding the objectives and approach of the problem, it is a descriptive and qualitative research, respectively, where nine comics were analyzed. As results, we verified that the analyzed comics can divulgate characteristics inherent to the library's image, delineating its cultural and social aspects, which can be positive and negative, from a comical and reflective perspective in the reading and interpretation of the comics.
