| Resumo : | Objetivo: Descrever a recorrência de lesão por queimadura química em três meio-irmãos. Metodologia: Trata-se de estudo descritivo do tipo relato de caso de três meio irmãos com cegueira. Descrição: Apresentamos o caso de três meio-irmãos de 13 anos, 3 anos e 17 meses que apresentaram cegueira com características compatíveis com lesão química ocular. Comentários: Estima-se que 14 milhões das crianças do mundo são cegas e o impacto deste problema é significativamente negativo. A queimadura química é uma das muitas causas de cegueira infantil, sendo algumas vezes provocada por agressões. A Síndrome de Munchausen por procuração é uma forma de abuso em que a genitora inventa ou provoca doença na vítima. Seu diagnóstico é dificultado pelas questões legais e seu atraso pode levar a danos irreversíveis. Pela ausência de alterações genéticas, pela recorrência familial e pelo padrão de lesão suspeitou-se de abuso infantil provocado pela genitora com Transtorno Factício Imposto ao Outro. |
| Abstract: | Objective: To describe the recurrence of a chemical burn injury in three half-siblings. Methodology: This is a descriptive study of the case report of three half-siblings with blindness. Description: The case presented regards three half-siblings aging 13 years old, 3 years old and 17 months who presented blindness with characteristics compatible with chemical ocular injury. Comments: It is estimated that 14 million of the world's children are blind and the impact of this problem is significantly negative. The chemical burn is one of many causes of child blindness, and sometimes it is triggered by aggression. Munchausen's Syndrome by proxy is a form of abuse in which the female genitor/offender invents or causes illness in the victim. The diagnostic is embarrassed by legal issues and its delay may lead to irreversible damage. Due to the absence of genetic alterations, familial recurrence and lesion pattern Infantile abuse caused by the female genitor was suspected through Factitious disorder imposed on another. |
