Mnemotropismo en el "sertão" del Consejero

Abstract

En este artículo propongo analizar los conflictos y disputas que ocurren en las diversas representaciones de la Guerra de Canudos que se hallan presentes en los sitios de memoria como el Parque Estadual de Canudos, administrado por la Universidad del Estado de Bahía (UNEB); el Instituto Popular Memorial de Canudos (IPMC), vinculado a la Iglesia Católica; o en el Memorial de Antonio Consejero en Quixeramobim (CE); en la medida en que las narrativas en los monumentos evidencian que las construcciones de las identitdades son instrumentos de poder, en especial en sus relaciones con la historia y la memoria nacionales. _________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT: In this article I propose to analyze the conflicts and disputes that happen in the diverse representations of Canudos War that are present in the sites of memory like the State Park of Canudos, administered by the Bahia State University (UNEB); the Canudos Popular Mamorial Institute linked to the catholic church, or the Memorial of Antonio Conselheiro in Quixeramobim (CE); in the measure in which the narratives in monuments demonstrate that the constructions of the identities are instruments of power, especially in its relation with national history and national memory.
