Os think tanks liberais no Brasil: ideias e atuações na nova direita brasileira

Abstract

This article aims to map some of the main Think Tanks groups and understand the origins of the restructuring of the conservative/reactionary field in Brazil, while understanding how the idea of crisis of representative/liberal democracy facilitated, through the idea of crisis of institutions, this rise. For this, a theoretical analysis was made about the emergence and dissemination of neoliberal think tanks in Brazil, and their influence on the reformulation of the new Brazilian right. Then, a content analysis was carried out, using the method proposed by Bardin, of the official websites of Think Tanks Instituto Liberal and Instituto Mises Brasil with the help of the Iramuteq tool. The research helps to understand the trajectory and actions of think tanks, in other words, a deepening of their efforts to tolerate authoritarian postures of the current government in favor of a neoliberal economic agenda.
