Avaliação da aprendizagem no curso de ciências biológicas: das prescrições às práticas

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the learning evaluations based on official documents and identifying the evaluation tools used in the graduation course in Biological Sciences (CBS) of the Federal University of Paraíba (FUPB) from the perspective of teachers and students. It characterizes as a case study that has qualitative-quantitative research as the approach. The data was collected by surveying the target audience, teachers and students of the Graduation CBS of the FUPB, Campus I, João Pessoa, and the official documents related to the course. The data analysis and interpretation happened through content and documentary analysis. The results indicate that the documents point to a generalist and bureaucratic perspective of learning evaluation. Both teachers and students associate the theme in distinct ways, being both traditional and classificatory as formative and continuous. Several evaluative instruments, and the predominant presence of tests among the main ones, were observed. Given this scenario, the research contributes to the promotion of knowledge about the indications on the prescriptions and practices present in official documents and the practical activity of teachers of the Degree Course in Biological Sciences.
