Santa também goza: a poesia profana e sagrada de Alberto Carvalho

Abstract

The project aims to investigate the relationships that the sacred and the profane establish in eroticism and what forms they take in Alberto Carvalho's erotic poetry and from that, seek to understand how this poetry imposed itself, taking into account the society of its time and the relationship between the two. Through the works of the French Georges Bataille, The Eroctism, and the Spanish Octávio Paz The Double Flame: Love and Eroticism, to seek the dialectic and the shocks of the poles of eroticism and the way in which this sacred/profane, eroticism/decency relationship took place according to the authors, is one of the paths traced to arrive at what the Sergipe poet portrayed in his poems and throughout his poetic career.
