Um estudo sobre a LGPD: os impactos laborais que a nova legislação pode ocasionar para servidores da Universidade Federal de Sergipe

Abstract

In today's globalized world, information has undergone significant transformations. Technological advances, such as the development of computers and the widespread use of the internet, have led to greater concern about the roles and management of data and information within organizations. Additionally, attention has increasingly focused on the handling and disposal of anything that can be identified as data or information within these institutions. The aim of this study is to investigate the impact of implementing the Brazilian Data Protection Law (LGPD) in the university environment. This is an exploratory and descriptive study based on a single case study approach. Data were collected through interviews consisting of 16 questions divided into three categories and administered to staff members of the Undergraduate Departments of the Center for Applied Social Sciences. The results revealed a variety of responses and perspectives among the interviewees. However, despite the difficulties encountered at the university in question, with these limitations (technical/manual) being the cause or problem identified by the researchers, the collaboration of the staff members in ensuring the best possible service while upholding the institutional norms becomes evident.
