Abordagem clínica e terapêutica do megaesôfago de origem indeterminada em canino doméstico – relato de caso

Abstract

This paper describes the activities developed during the Mandatory Supervised Internship (ESO), covering the areas of medical clinic, surgery, and diagnostic imaging. The activities were carried out at the Pet's Clinic, located in the Farolândia neighborhood, in Aracaju/SE, under the supervision of Veterinarian Francisco Alves de Sá Neto. The internship took place from May 5th to October 24th, 2025, with a daily schedule of 6 hours, totaling 732 hours. The practical experience enabled the elaboration of the study, entitled "Clinical and therapeutic approach to megaesophagus of undetermined origin in a domestic canine – case report". The experience fostered the consolidation of new technical-professional and humanistic skills, resulting in the improvement of knowledge related to the diagnosis, prophylaxis, and treatment of pathologies affecting veterinary patients.
