A humanização e o palhaço: entre significados e sorrisos

Abstract

Humanization is part of the health field as an essential resource in practices. Within the range of agents that enable this process, the clown stands as a promoter of humanization. A study was carried out in a hospital in the interior of the state of Sergipe, where the data were collected through an interview that took place after interventions by the clowns, members of the Happy Territory project. The general objective of the research is to understand the process of humanization within a hospital and how it can be influenced and how it can influence the experience of the hospital context, both for professionals, family and patients and the specific objectives are: to understand the meaning of humanization and the clown in the hospital context for different actors and analyze which feelings are more present within the hospital context before and after the visit of the clown. As a result, it was observed that the meaning of humanization is intrinsically linked to the scope of human relations, involving the understanding of ethics, values and relationships with the environment in which the subjects are inserted, one of the great obstacles for humanization to happen is the exclusion of the singularity of the subjects and their potential as health promoters. In this sense, it stresses the urgency of inserting humanization in hospital environments, where relationships are fragile, distant and permeated by the logic of work, embedded in practices and technical actions that aim only to end the disease.
