Turismo e território: a contribuição das políticas de turismo ao pólo velho Chico/SE

Abstract

Tourism policies aimed at the development of territories as polar inducers of tourism, have gained space for discussion in the Brazilian states, as an alternative to socio, economic and environmental development. In Sergipe, the creation of the Polo Old Chico is presented as an insertion or attempt to insert the practices of a tourism policy that will give consistency in the actions envisaged in this policy, which converges with the National Tourism Plan 2007-2010. The study sought to register the how the particularities of the implementation of these actions on the territory-polo encouraged more development in the state. We conclude that this new territorial arrangement will benefit the entire region in which Polo is located and that it will present results of a real and effective practice of public policy in Sergipe .
