A aula de alteridade em O quinze

Abstract

Este ensaio apresenta uma releitura de O quinze, de Rachel de Queiroz, como uma obra pioneira na representação da alteridade feminina. Conceição, a protagonista, apresenta um duplo movimento identitário, pois, além de ter atitudes feministas, preocupa-se com o outro de classe. Partimos das reflexões de Elódia Xavier e Cristina Ferreira Pinto para identificar as estratégias feministas, com o apoio das propostas teóricas de Silviano Santiago e Guacira Louro quanto à questão da literatura híbrida e dos deslocamentos espaciais da protagonista, respectivamente._________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT: This essay presents a new reading of O quinze, by Rachel de Queiroz, placing this masterpiece as a pioneer in the representation of the feminine alterity. Conceição, the protagonist, shows a double identity movement, as a consequence of her feminist attitudes and her worries about the others as well. It was taken, as a starting point, the reflections of Elódia Xavier and Cristina Ferreira Pinto concerning the identification of feminist strategies, supported by theoretical proposals of Silviano Santiago and Guacira Louro on the issue of hybrid literature and spatial displacements of the protagonist, respectively.
