Abstract

The transformations that occurred in the world at the end of the last century, withregard to the economy, technological development, advances in social rights, etc., meant thatcapitalism needed to reinvent itself (once again) to ensure its global hegemony, especiallyinterms of refers to the ways in which power is exercised. The question that arises isthefollowing: how, in the present context, can work be so exploratory and sickening without anytype of opposition or contestation arising? The present work, then, aims tostudythepsychopolitical devices present in the context of work and their relationship withworkers' illness. Based on bibliographical research and semi-structured interviews with telemarketingoperators, with extensive experience in the area, and who developed some typeofpsychopathology during the period in which they performed this function, I sought toidentifythe existing forms of stimulation that aim to make the subject, for example, onyour own,overload yourself with work and apply coercion to yourself for not achieving self-imposedgoals. Microrewards appear as one of the most efficient and recurring ways of promotingself-subjection, and that is why their concept was well developed here.
