Tempos de casas e labirintos : o lugar da avó na trajetória feminina em Lya Luft

Abstract

From a perspective of the Cultural and Gender Studies, this paper aimed at analysing the role of the grandmother in the path of the protagonist of the A asa esquerda do anjo narrative, written by Lya Luft and published in 1981, seeking to understand the construction of female identity mediated by the educational processes of primary socialization in the domestic space. Based on the questions and goals, the methodological option was centered on a qualitative research of the bibliographic type, using literary sources, bibliographies related to the theme and varied documents. Thus, we interpret the enunciations presented to the interlocutors by the memory weaves of the narrator-protagonist, based on the theories concerning Gender and Generation, Memory and Identity and Domestic Education, bringing up the dialogue and the interweaving of conceptions of the critics and scholars who bend over such themes. From the analysis carried out, we were able to infer that in the family relations of the Luft s plot considered, the grandmother exerted her authority through the command/control of the ―home world‖, exercising power for the shaping/education of her grandchildren. That highlights a web of relationships, tension, generational conflicts and cultural clashes that flow into the transit and the identity constructions of those who were ―managed‖ by the matriarch.
