Influência do estádio de desenvolvimento em Genótipos de Sambacaitá (Hyptis pectinata L. Poit)

Abstract

A espécie Hyptis pectinata L. Poit (Lamiaceae), conhecida como sambacaitá ou canudinho, é uma planta medicinal e aromática encontrada nos Estados de Sergipe e Alagoas, onde é utilizada na medicina popular para o tratamento de inflamações, infecções e dores. O objetivo do trabalho foi avaliar a influência do estádio de desenvolvimento na produção Hyptis pectinata L. Poit. O delineamento experimental foi de blocos casualizados em esquema fatorial 4x2, com três repetições. Testou-se quatro genótipos e dois estádios de desenvolvimento (vegetativo e plena floração). Foram avaliados: altura de planta, comprimento e largura das lâminas foliares, relação comprimento/largura das lâminas foliares, massa seca de folhas e caules, teor e rendimento de óleo essencial nas folhas. Na fase de floração os genótipos apresentaram maior altura e massa seca de caule. Na fase vegetativa os genótipos apresentaram maior comprimento e largura de folha._________________________________________________________________________________________ ABSTRACT: The species Hyptis pectinata L. Poit (Laminaceae), known as "sambacaitá" or "canudinho", is a medicinal and aromatic plant grown in Sergipe and Alagoas, where it is used as a folk medicine to treat inflammation, infections and pains. The main goal of this work was evaluate the influence of the development stageon the production of Hyptis pectinata L. Poit. The experimental design was a randomized blocks in a factorial scheme 4x2x2, with three replications. We tested four genotypes and two stages of development (vegetative and full flowering). We evaluated the following variables: plant height, length and width of leaves blades, length/width ratio of the leaves blades, dry mass of leaves and stems, content and yield of essential oil in the leaves. In the flowering stage the genotypes presented greater height and dry mass of the stem. In the vegetative stage the genotypes presented greater length and width of leaves.
