Serviço social e o ecossocialismo : interlocuções a partir da perspectiva marxista

Abstract

The present research entitled, Social Work and Ecosocialism: Interlocutions from the Marxist Perspective, had as main objective to carry out critical reflections on the approximation of Social Work theory with ecosocialist theory having as a starting point the socio-environmental issue. Through bibliographic research in the light of the historical-dialectical method, we will investigate points of convergence between the theory used by Social Work and the ecosocialist theory, having as mediator the Marxian/Marxist theory. The path traced aims to contextualize the socio-environmental issue in the midst of the capitalist production mode in the light of critical knowledge developed within the Social Work profession, understanding the environmental issue as part of the social issue. From this accumulation, we approach the ecological crisis from the perspective of ecosocialist theory, seeking to present its main characteristics and categories of analysis. That said, we then present movements of approximation between Social Work and ecosocialism, thus creating ways to present the ecosocialist theory as a concrete utopia that contains points of convergence between its societal project and the professional ethical-political project (PEPP) of the Service. Social, with an emphasis on the political-category potential of the justice debate, and this professional category can appropriate this critical theory and consequently carry out a movement to strengthen its professional project and its social theory through the expanded concept of socio-environmental justice found in the ecosocialist theory. From the certification of the categorical potential that the principles (democracy, citizenship, equity, etc.) that guide the PEPP have in articulation with the contributions of ecosocialist theory, the research demonstrated how fruitful this permanent dialogue can be, having as a point of articulation the Marxian/Marxist theoretical-methodological basis. Finally. Given the scarcity of production in the area, the research revealed the need for further research on the subject.
