dc.description.abstractEntrepreneurship plays a crucial role in the economic and social development of local communities, being a driving force for innovation, business creation and sustainable growth. The COVID-19 pandemic has brought a scenario of unprecedented challenges for entrepreneurs, significantly impacting the operation and viability of small businesses around the world. Based on this, the general objective of this study was to analyze the influence of the pandemic on small businesses in the Estação neighborhood, in the city of Salgado-SE. Based on this, this research sought to answer the following question: What were the entrepreneurial strategies and decisions used by small businesses in the Estação neighborhood of the municipality of Salgado-SE in the face of the Covid-19 pandemic? For this, a qualitative-descriptive methodology was used, with data collection carried out through interviews, applied questionnaires and bibliographical reviews. As a result, it was possible to verify that it is essential to identify customer preferences and needs, as well as the profile of these small businesses in which interviewees reported changes in marketing and sales strategies. This shift in consumer behavior has revealed the need for flexible and sensitive approaches to meeting post-pandemic demands. It is concluded that they gave priority to expanding their businesses, adapting to the new reality, which required the use of digital media, and the adoption of specific hygiene measures. The predominance of female activity in these establishments was also noted, with the majority of enterprise managers having formalized CNPJ and hiring employees.eng
