Direito e multipolaridade : reflexões de um pluriversalismo jurídico através da quarta teoria política e da teoria do mundo multipolar

Abstract

Following the victory of the First Political Theory (Liberalism) over the Second Political Theory (Communism), the world became definitively unipolar. With this, globalization was intensified by the only remaining great power, taking Western civilization to the status of a universal model, creating a global standard to be “followed” by all peoples. In this way, it is possible to say that almost all cultures are affected by Western notions. These notions also include the Western concept of Law, which, in a certain way, has reached a global level, even if in contradiction with the particular pre-existing notions in each culture. Thus, from the dissatisfaction of nonWestern civilizations, the project of a multipolar world is born, in which there is no single and universal standard of civilization. Currently, the Fourth Political Theory and the Theory of a Multipolar World – both authored by the Russian philosopher Aleksandr Dugin – guide some of the main works on the concept of Multipolarity. Based on these foundations, this research aims to investigate the horizon of possibilities for thinking about Law in a multipolar world.
