Intolerância religiosa: o não ao preto e a sua descendência

Abstract

From the 16th century, many Africans were inserted in Brazil as a thing, and the idea that the black and his descendants have no value was formed in the conception of the Brazilian people. This thought is often given spontaneously. However, the black has used the African matrix religion to point out the ancestry and reject all the oppression suffered. This article analyzed how the Aporá-Ba community views the Terreiro de Pai Foguinho as a representative of religiosity linked to religions of African origin. For that, a qualitative methodology was used with the support of a field study. The research revealed that acts of religious intolerance should not be ignored, as structural racism is found in them. In the religion of African origin, the ancestry of blacks is a strong presence and directs their descendants with the strength to fight against social, cultural and economic repression.
