A psicanálise fora do setting tradicional: um relato de experiência no CREAS de Tobias Barreto

Abstract

This research begins with my involvement at the Center for Specialized Social Assistance (CREAS) in Tobias Barreto. The concern, arising from what I observed during visits, consultations, meetings, and the constant questioning of what it meant to be a psychologist at CREAS and how to incorporate psychoanalysis in this space, resulted in this work, which consists of an Experience Report - involving the narrative of a clinical experience in its broadest sense - about the Groups I facilitated at CREAS and what they provided. The chosen methodology focused on immersing myself in the field and listening to the population being served, so that from the challenges experienced and the questions raised, a search for theory could emerge. In this regard, the body and outcome of this research include accounts of the group sessions held at CREAS, as well as the reflections they enabled regarding psychoanalysis outside the traditional setting. The central theme is horizontal transference, which finds a terrain for exploration in the material from the accounts and the key points that emerged from them, shedding light on what aspects of psychoanalysis remain applicable in environments beyond the therapy room, thus contributing to the development of a living psychoanalysis.
