Ensino médio brasileiro e luta de classes: filiações sócio-históricas da educação dual no Brasil

Abstract

This present article aims, from the historical-dialectical materialism, to reflect on Brazilian High School, as a specific cut of the formal education that is offered in Brazil. Therefore, a historicalanalytical path of the process of constitution and solidification of this educational stage was carried out. It is pointed out, as the main result of the research, that, from the colonial to the republican period, formal education works regularly to maintain balanced, amidst the permanent state of class struggle, the sociability of capital in this country, being, therefore, historically constituted for the maintenance of a colonial project of exploitation and domination of one social class over another, of capital over labor. In this sense, the duality that crosses High School, for being historical and structural, is constitutive to the genesis of this educational stage that preserves, legitimizes and naturalizes the dichotomous relationship of classes in Brazilian capitalist society.
